She's had Kate Bush vibes on and off since the start really, but anyone who does a bit of banshee pop is going to get that comparison - Kate Bush basically invented the genre herself so there'll always be that connection.
I like this! I feel like it should have been out around the beginning of summer/festival season for a bigger impact though. First listen is much more instant than their last couple of lead singles.
1."Everybody Scream"
2."One of the Greats"
3."Witch Dance"
4."Sympathy Magic"
5."Perfume and Milk"
6."Buckle"
7."Kraken"
8."The Old Religion"
9."Drink Deep"
10."Music By Men"
11."You Can Have It All"
12."And Love"
I feel the most invested in them than I have since the third album
Oh I didn’t know the album was out. I assume Sympathy Magic is the chosen promo single for the album release as it’s #1 on NMF and it was in my radar, but when you click on the song it doesn’t take you to the album. Which has to be some sort of error.
I haven’t been able to get into the whole album but “Music By Men” is stunning, “Sympathy Magic” is just a GREAT pop song, one of her best singles, and “You Can Have It All” is Florence at her gothic BEST
I quite like “Buckle” too. The rest I haven’t gone back to.
