Just the three hours late thanks to our dear sponsors at the National Grid and I can confirm we're GOOD TO GO. The power cut's done a number on the catering - the souffle's not risen and I'd not brave the prawn vol au vents - but we still have our Ferrero Rocher triangle and an assortment of dignitaries from many of the world's least fussy countries.

We'll start, of course, with the traditional Worldvision anthem, a beloved staple of the contest ever since @Sardonicus posted it in a different thread nine days ago :disco:

Due to the harrowing average age of Moopy posters, many of you will be asleep or dead by now but I don't want to knacker up my timetable for the contest so I'm going to forge ahead with this tonight. Perhaps you'll join me live, wondering to yourself exactly why you're bothering when you're not even getting the songs tonight. Perhaps you're browsing this in the morning with a cup of tea, chuckling warmly to yourself at how relatable this entire sentence is to your present circumstance. In either case, I hope to astonish and delight you by inviting our delegates to introduce themselves and tell us why they love their country.

I'm awake! How else can I stay awake for the 17:30 Harvester Early Bird Special tomorrow!

Yes, if you check my search history you'll find 'I've grown bored of looking at your balls' because I NEEDED context for that one :D
It’s the fact that it appears in your search history nearly six thousand times over the course of the last twenty years that is confusing me.
