Worldvision I:

Africa claimed first blood as @Tisch led Cameroon to a rousing victory with Vagabon's 'Water Me Down', a song I earmarked as the winner literally the moment I received it. It really is a level of class and sophistication far beyond what we've come to expect from both him and the contest in general.


Also in the news that year: @ZenGiraffe covered us for third party lover, fire, and theft; @Rita was in hot water for re-using an artist (PNAU) from an earlier contest, whereas in the modern contest we re-use entire fucking songs; and @Pingu birthed the Peeping Gloria gif

Worldvision II

After watching an upstart continent like Africa snatch the crown the previous year, Europe decided it very much wasn't going to lie down and take this shit. @Kratz was drafted in to once more trample the colonies beneath the oniony boot of French Imperialism with Izïa - Mon coeur


The second contest was, to my mind, one of the strongest collections of songs the contest has seen to date. @Iguana somehow only managed second with Rajkumari, which is urdu for 'obvious winner'. 'Protect my hoop' was the humble request of @Raining on Me's entry. @Suedehead was ahead of the curve with 'All I Ever Asked', which I still get a bit starstruck by when it's on the radio. And @GNL gave us the wiggling finger woman gif.

Worldvision III

Long before Mongolia started copying its own homework, it received the coveted Worldvision chequebook and pen for Becca - Leomini. In keeping with his policy of winning every contest I run, @jyxz won this contest.


Elsewhere, @Marina Salty was the Antagonista who nearly snatched the win from Jyxz; @Visit Cardiff went a bit wild-eyed; I thought @Kate wanted to kill me (but she believes in peace, bitch); and @dUb sent a lady called FANNY
