Cher - Christmas

The official lyric video is shiny and cool:

What we really need though is a music video for the solo version. Make it happen, Warner!

I'm not really fussed on the Kelly version and as much as I hope the song takes off and becomes a staple, I wouldn't want it to be this version.

I hope DJ is now defrosting in terms of getting some spins as we get into December and Office xmas party season. I heard it being played last night at a private xmas function I went past, and noted it down as Cwej would have done. Was tempted to stand outside and ask the guests if they knew who it was, and to rate it out of 10, but resisted.

Angels in the snow really is one of the best Christmas songs of all-time. I'd love it to be a hit!

I'm so happy that this has charted again! Hope it becomes an annual staple a la Leona Lewis's One More Sleep. Best new Christmas song in years!

I was hoping as the playlists are so heavily skewed in favour of US artists, that the playlist curators would be more receptive to it this year, with it being a proper hit last year.

DJ only re-entered at #171 on Spotify in the UK on Saturday (in between Sex On Fire and Every Breath You Take), but of course has the benefit of not being on ACR.

It's not in the US or global top 200.

Whilst the Spotify playlisters are very US-centric, they're also not minded towards anything younger than 10 years that isn't Laufey. Not surprised Cher is struggling.

How did that happen?! I didn't see it in the streaming top 50's

After listening to Kylie’s latest Christmas release, this still holds its crown as the best Christmas song of the 21st century. :altaf:

This needs to go at least official top 40 again this year. I demand it. This and One More Sleep need to be big every year. This in particular is OFFICE PARTY WHITE WINE SPRITZER OFFICE HUN WITH VAPE HEAVEN :disco:

Theoretically it's applicable at some point during its chart run this year, isn't it? But I guess not likely due to the stream not declining until the week all Christmas tracks do anyway.

I think it doesn't hit the three-year mark until its chart run next year, although actually is it even still three years before permanent ACR?

The charts are so confusing these days etc.

So I'm a little confused. It says 'after 3 weeks of decline' (which no Christmas song will have when Nov/Dec rolls around) and also that it won't be applied to a song with fewer than 9 weeks on the chart. And Cher has 7 currently.

But the only reference to how old the song is relates to resets (?)
