what a video!

feels like the album is going to be a MOOD PIECE... I'm sure the song will make some sense in that context

#7 with 3.4m :o I don't think it'll sustain for long since it's not very relistenable as a song but shows there'll be huge interest in this album I think.

Although looking forward to Eurovision in 3 years when this has inevitably filtered downstream and we get several acts ripping off Berghain :disco:

I’ve not hard the energy to listen yet, I’m SCARED OF ROSALIA!

I still think “Berghain” is very Attack On Titan Season 2.

But yeah, Lux is something. Listened front to back twice today and will probably do it again the next couple of days.

Love Berghain but it’s still not quite as THRILLING as this!

What IS though? (S3 Second Half Opening :disco: being the correct answer)

Anyways, Mio Cristo and Magnolias are the standouts on an album full of standouts so far. i expect this to change daily.

Taylor swiftly releases variant number 392.

Edit: just noticed the pun :basil:

I have listened.

I’m happy for all the artistry and growth. It’s sublime, it’s beautiful and obviously devoid of any ki-kara-kaka slay my buss BOPS. This could have been a side project.

Berghain charted at #51 which I wasn’t expecting.

I just played this for the first time...

...and it's absolutely astonishing. I had to stop what I was doing a few times just to listen. It finished and I put it straight back on again. I'm even going to brave the horror of walking into town to try and get the vinyl in HMV at lunchtime, because there's extra tracks on it and I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER.

Something about it reminds me of "Ten Love Songs" and I'm not QUITE sure what.

I can see that. Both are the kind of albums where you can hear and see what the artist envisioned and you cannot help but be in awe and marvel at how they pulled it out of the bag without flinching on a single track. no handbrakes, no compromises.

But yeah, I have been utterly obsessed with this album for the last seven days. Nothing else I’ve heard this year has come close.

I'm listening again as we speak, the second time today.

I repeat myself- it's absolutely astonishing, as is she. The emotion her voice wrings out of the lyrics is incredible, given it's a language I don't really understand (let alone all the bits not in Spanish). Without doubt this will see me going back into her previous (and understandably very different) catalogue, but I'm not ready to diversify away from Lux just yet.

I don’t know whether it’d be your THING but I do highly recommend Motomami.

I don't typically care for Rosalia much, but I'm halfway through the album and this is ART.
