It’s absolutely brilliant. The way they can wring an episode’s drama from a butler being discovered moonlighting at another house, yet that same episode starts with the aftermath of a violent train crash and it’s paid barely any mind after the first five minutes

Five men dead in a train disaster is clearly a narrative dead end but a SPOON on the table at LUNCHEON? That’s a three-episode story arc.
