"All's Fair" - Ryan Murphy "legal drama" (Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close)

Halle Berry and Glenn Close have boarded Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Hulu legal drama, in which they’ll star opposite Kim Kardashian.

Announced this past December, the series has a working title of All’s Fair, according to Variety. Previously described as a “high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural,” it will see Kardashian playing the most successful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles and owner of an all-female law firm.

Details about Berry and Close’s characters are currently unknown. Both actors will serve as executive producers, with Close also producing under her Trillium Productions banner.

Most likely another totally vapid Murphy show. But with Halle and Glenn both producing, who knows.
 
Kim is a fucking awful actress. This is going to be a disaster.

How she'll 'interact' with Glenn and Halle is gonna be interesting I think.
 
It looks like Halle Berry dropped out of this. But I do like the Elizabeth Berkeley addition.
 
I've seen clips on X, and it looks camp as fuck.

Not Scream Queens' camp though because it wants to be taken seriously, unlike SQ, which part of its charm was being self-aware it was shit and ridiculous. Can't wait.
 
I watched the first episode yesterday. Kim K is so awful, she’s actually bringing down Sarah Paulson and Naomi Watts who are almost equally as terrible. I may continue at some point but I’ve been enjoying High Potential on Disney too so switched back to that.
 
Poor Glenn Close. An almost unblemished career now permanently STAINED by that walking vacuum.
 
Ok I want to see this tonight, I've seen enough clips on X and I can't figure it out WHY didn't somebody tell SOMETHING to Kim K about her face not moving? She just stands there looking pretty, is that was ACTING is to her? I'm in tears-
 
The camera having to zoom in on Kim K with dramatic music simply because she can't actually give any reaction whatsoever :D
 
I watched this during my colonoscopy prep yesterday and I have to say that it was perfect for that! It’s silly and camp and all the women (except for Kim, she doesn't have the range) are hamming it up. It's honestly fine for what it is.
 
Kim and Sarah were on The Graham Norton show a few weeks back, Kim clearly hated every second being on the couch. Graham spoke to her for AGES and afterwards she sat there with face ache, wearing the most ridiculous outfit she's ever worn.

Can't wait to see her lawyering skills.

Oh I thought she loved being asked questions and talking about this show as a solo project all the whilst sat next to her co-star in an even more uncomfortable ensemble (Kim not Saz).

There was a very interesting moment where Kim seemed to think she was being asked about her divorce when in fact she wasn't (unless Graham quickly swerved when sensing her reluctance).

Yeah sorry I meant after Graham stopped talking to her she looked like she couldn't wait to leave.
 
I quite like the idea that she's simply going to live out the fantasy by playing a lawyer on TV until she passes the bar in like 2030.

I also enjoyed Glenn Close going on the defense about this show

“I personally think that the first three episodes were the weakest,” she told Variety. “That was a tough way to start. I’ve seen all nine episodes, and I think it actually adds up to something.​

Screaming at Glenn's interview where they asked her about Kim's acting, erm, acting abilities, and she said something along the lines of "Well, she was CERTAINLY present all the time."

Is this a scenario where it's DELIBERATELY and KNOWINGLY bad because they saw "And Just Like That" got three whole seasons and they realised that HATE WATCHES were a legitimate commercial strategy?

Or is it time to fire Ryan Murphy into the moon?
 
I would say it's following in the tradition of Popular, Scream Queens, and to an extent, Glee in that it's obviously meant to be ridiculous.
