Happy December girls!

Ugh the dog walk this morning was especially miserable
Was going to go for a run before work but fuck that

I couldn't feel less Christmas-y this year. That's fairly rare for me to have an off year, but it happens.

I was supposed to put the tree and decs up yesterday but I really couldn’t be arsed!

We even have a new tree, I've done all my shopping. It's all felt a little mechanical.

I think I need a garden centre trip.

Absolutely fucked off with this cold now. The weekend was a write off because it evolved and revived itself and I now have an 80 yr old's smoker's cough which kicks in if my activity level goes above catatonic.

I seem to have lost about 50% of my voice but feel totally fine

I'm off to the Titanic museum today.

Then tonight, seeing Roxette :disco:

@Sheena are you seeing them tonight?

Yeah. I can’t be arsed going to London early in this weather though.

Just started online DEI training. It's an hour long, thirty three slides. The guy doing is quite hot and I'm sure I've done it before.

I also don’t feel ALL THAT CHRISTMASSY yet. I do hope that changes as I do generally love this time of year. It’s only the 1st of December though and no doubt December will be full of Festive days out, and in watching Christmas films so there is hope yet.

Normally I'm TITS OUT with TINSEL by December 1st. I think I've had other distractions.

I am very much the same, but I actually think this year has passed in a flash which in my head feels like it isn’t Christmas and should still be Summer time. I’m not sure if it’s just my silly head that works like that sometimes?

It is my first grandchild’s first Christmas so I think that should pull me through.

This probably isn’t the thread to ask this but I couldn’t find a thread about Mama Mia, The Party? Has anyone been? Is it good? I am between that and The Voyage tour which I have read great reviews about for my Mums Christmas present as she loves Abba. 🤔

I've not seen Mamma Mia The Party as it's very much not my thing, but if you like the musical, Greek food, and are more extroverted and don't mind the communal dining, dancing all around you type vibe of it, you may well enjoy it.

Abba Voyage is much more like going to an Abba concert then, if they existed now.

If you know she loves Abba, I'd be completely confident she won't be disappointed by Voyage.

And if you want to splash out a bit (well, £75 each) more, make the trip a little more special (and load up on cocktails and nibbles), you could consider the Oceanbird lounge before the show.

Oh I didn’t know about that, I will have a look at the Oceanbird lounge. Thankyou Lolly!

She has been to see Mama Mia more than a handful of times over the years so I think I probably will go for Voyage. I just wasn’t really sure if The Party would be worth it and if it was just the same as the film/theatre show. I wouldn’t say Greek Food would really by my Mothers cup of tea either.

As it's zone 2/3 East London I think it's worth considering as unlike being in theatre land in the West End, there isn't that much around the stadium at all in terms of bars, cafes or restaurants.

Plus it's all Abba themed, and if you get the full one hour 45 minutes there, you can fairly easily get that £75 in limitless cocktails and nibbles.
