JADE - That's Showbiz Baby! (Sep 12)

Plastic Box is #48 in Pitchfork's top 100 songs of the year. and it's certainly in my top 10 :disco:

The clips of the deluxe edition sound promising, give us the bangers Jade!

love how happily she'll do any old random shit to promote

I think this was for Spotify and certainly this was

Church straight to radio 1's B list from Friday

Yes, Church is fucking amazing. Somehow it manages to sound like a greatest hits encapsulated in one song.

Best You Could is also gorgeous. and the bops pop off. great deluxe.

Church is right up there with her initial singles :disco:

sole guests on sofa at the end with other guests of course. Flying off to Egypt for the weekend straight after for North African promo before The One Show on Monday with Cherlu and Baba.

I’ve been playing this album all day. I’m loving it more and more

Church is nearly on 800K spotify streams in a few days

Album outside the top forty in the midweeks which seems disappointing? I don’t know if there are any physical releases though. If so, that’s rather bad.

I didn't imagine it would get anywhere near the top 40 when about 30 of them are likely to be xmas songs.

I thought it would be quite a bit higher given the amount of new songs.
It feels like its been a bit lost in terms of release

I think the idea is for the deluxe to 'do something' in the post-Xmas lull in the release schedules when all the Xmas listening falls off. Releasing the CD on 19th is a bit odd but given that the days of the CD as an all-purpose stocking filler are coming on for 20 years gone, I guess it doesn't matter so much.

I've only just watched the Norton performance. She brought the dramatics as always:

This was good. She really really is putting in the craft and the effort. Church is doing decent on Streaming, maybe it will find its way after the Christmas onslaught

Kylie was asked about collaborating with Jade. She has pretty much confirmed it will happen at some point:

Hefty drop down to #32 for the reissue from its #8 midweek. But I can’t imagine it had any streaming juice at all this week with all the Christmas music.

She's #11 in the sales chart and the midweek albums is always far closer to that.

Church has done well on streaming, I would expect a bigger tour next year and then onto next album.

Church is phenomenal. Probably her best yet, for me.

Album is just under 53k to date, so should go silver easily with the vinyls in a few weeks.
