Ive been playing Jurassic World Evolution 2 and I’m developing a problem. I love shit like Sim City and wasted hours playing Theme Park in the day and its just like that but with extra nerdyness.
 
I’m still playing Diablo 4 - new season starts this month

After about 600 hours I I finally put Elden Ring away just in time for them to announce a new game in the series :disco:

Dead Island. Not to be confused with Scary Island. Good so far! It's funny how zombie apocalypse stories just feel a bit DIFFERENT in a post-COVID world.

I've already told Ms Ron I need a bag of gummies and a weekend of solitude to grind out a solid shift on it. Yesterday I thought I'd just jump on for 20 mins and lunch and an hour and half flew by.
 
I want to get it, but I also don't want to because it will take over my life.
 
Oh god its on PS4 so I could play it at my desk while I 'work' as well. Eek.
 
Apparently, they are doing a Switch version. Not even Switch 2. I can’t imagine how that can possibly work properly.

I found this cute and diverting enough, but they still haven’t really cracked the Zelda problem when by far the most efficient way to fight (or do anything really) is to just transform into Link.
 
Is anybody playing Diablo IV? I finally have a nice group of gamer friends and we love it.

Also, I tried Fortnite for the first time. Basically a glorified arcade game but still fun.
 
Just started Expedition 33, and I'm very excited that a turn based RPG has been getting such good reviews, so I'm hoping to be blown away.

Though it's started off on the wrong foot by making turning 33 a guaranteed death sentence, a mere fortnight after my 33rd birthday :RictusRoop:
 
Has anyone played Baldur's Gate 3 at all? The way that game has me in a chokehold right now.
 
Anyone own/played Elden Ring? I just downloaded it yesterday and it's fucking gorgeous.

This is my first FromSoftware game ever and I can tell you now Elden Ring is fairly manageable and I'm barely 4 hours into it.

The game is only hard if you treat it like a regular RPG that automatically scales all enemies to your level. Instead you just gotta find the enemies appropriate to your progress and go from there - the open world is huge and GORGEOUS which encourages you to test your limits.

I believe this is different from most Souls games which will often just deny you progression and trap you UNTIL you defeat a certain enemy.
 
I'm currently playing Elden Ring Nightreign, and have platinumed Elden Ring. Excellent game, and not nearly as difficult as it first seems either

I hated it at first because it’s hard as hell but once you find your groove it’s hard to stop playing. The DLC is amazing as well.
 
My biggest advice for starting is to find a weapon with bleed, and then go east to the old sleeping dragon and fight it from behind its left wing. It will take ages, but it doesn't move and gives a ton of runes to get you a fair few levels to start you off
 
I just got the Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling combo, and they're a lot of fun. Will try finding a bleed weapon in my next sitting.
 
Also, those player messages were kinda annoying at first but now I'm enjoying them lol. I went into the catacombs with the awful fire traps and there was a message that read "I want to go home" :D
