The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013).
I give it a B.

Criminally underrated! When the Alexa clone plays Fuck tha Police instead of calling the police I cried laughing.Us (2019)
Freaky doppelgangers terrorise Lupita Nyong'o & family. Creepy but also morbidly funny, & a powerhouse performance from OUR LUPITA that was worthy of an Oscar nomination.

I've just counted and 14 of my cinema trips were to the local Vue, which isn't too bad as at least I get one free Vue ticket a month through my Monzo, and their individual ticket prices are cheaper too. Had my unlimited card for over a decade so do feel a sense of loyalty to Cineworld, but at this stage I think if Vue did a membership, I'd switch over. I don't think my local Vue has skipped out on any movies that I've wanted to see (and I like how the times vary day by day, so I can always find something that's convenient), whereas Cineworld Wembley isn't even showing 'The Housemaid'A bit annoyed as I aim for at least 100 at Cineworld using the unlimited card. I got 157 total cinema films but due to so many not being scheduled at Cineworld, got 98 with them. It adds up to 100 if I count the second visits to Wicked: For Good and Karate Kid Legends.
North By NorthwestBeen watching several Hitchcock films over the last few days. I'm pretty sure I've never seen any before. My ranking so far:
North By Northwest
Stranger on a Train
Psycho
If you're on a Hitchcock SPREE then you absolutely MUST watch Rear Window, The Birds & Vertigo. Marnie is from the same period, it has numerous PROBLEMATIQUE elements, although interesting enough (I think it would have worked better with a stronger actress than Tippi Hedren in the lead role too.)North By Northwest
Stranger on a Train
Dial M For Murder
Psycho
Dial M was basically a play and the "outdoor" shots were appalling. Hard to believe there was just five years between that and NBNW, which was in glorious and looked amazing.
Still ranking Psycho last. It was fine, but not all that. I accept the groundbreaking nature if it, much in the way I accept the Beatles were new and fresh, but I can't pretend there's not been over half a century in-between.

Rebecca is a classic too. Joan Fontaine quakes in the presence of Judith Anderson's STERN REPRESSED LESBIAN vibes.Oh lovely, I think I saw Rear Window on iPlayer.
Poor not dead yet Tippi.
Rope another one strong on the HOMOSEXUAL UNDERTONESNorth By Northwest and Rear Window are undeniable. Love Rebecca (remake was rubbish and stage musical was even worse). I always thought Vertigo and The Birds were perfectly fine 7/10 films though, but nothing special.
Rope was always a weird one. I once had to watch that in a Philosophy A-Level class!

I liked it. The fairground crash was a real treat.Strangers on a Train (1951) is my absolute favourite, which I see Ag has already seen.
Are you just spending this season watching really well known films? Why don’t you join Letterboxd?Dirty Dancing (1987).

Slumber Party Massacre (2021).
Couldn't find the original, so thought I'd try this re-make/standalone-sequel. Just survived the opening. I'm definitely in so far.
