Back to work for me today and it looks like a hellscape out there. The snow looks like it's frozen over night. I JUST CAN'T WAIT!

A balmy -1°c here.

I did worry about MY PIPES last night, so did get up, put the heating on, but turned the thermostat down to about 14°. The cats evidently loved it.

One of my friends is in Finland, and told me yesterday it was -23°C. Genuinely cannot imagine it.

When I lived in the Alps for a winter we had a night where it was -20, and it was when friends were over so we went out drinking. It was cold, but I think because it was so dry that you couldn't really feel it as much as I expected. I'm sure if it had been wet and windy and -20 it would have been brutal.

1°C now, but at 11:30pm-ish yesterday it was -7°C 😯🧊 and I wore socks to bed for the first time in ages (despite my feet nearly always being cold) 😅

Fucking freezing her and my office is SO COLD, thanks to the radiators having been broken for over a year, although they FINALLY seem to be doing something about it. I'm sat with portable heaters on either side of me, a blanket over my legs and a big XXL jumper over all my other clothes.

I've been swimming in the sea this evening.

And it's 41 degrees tomorrow, which to be honest, sounds absolutely awful. I'm missing a bit of cold.

Have you noticed another Moopy poster is in Melbourne at the same time as you or are they trying to avoid you? :D

That's partly why I refuse to work from home. I can't deal with the negative and often toxic energy of what I do in my sanctuary. I resent it.

We're not to use the office because it won't rise above 12 degrees.

Work in the public sector they tell ya.

Meanwhile I having a horribly stressy morning and don't have people to vent to about it because I'm at home.

*curls up*
So they've refused to put the heating on? So you have to use your heating instead? Bastards.

A lot of the ice and snow has now melted here, but the morning commute was still hell. Ive decided to WFH this afternoon rather than travel to my usual base.

No blanket over the knees as yet, but Im not ruling it out.

I've joined your PO-GO group Lolly but bear in mind I RARELY LEAVE THE HOUSE I shall try and remember to TWIRL SOME STOPS if I go into the office

SSSSHHHHHHHH!

just do it for whatever the reward is. I'll hit that in a couple of days just getting the bus to and from work

Unless I get bored by it again, anyway

I ventured to the office today, I was getting cabin fever working from home. Even had a nice lunch in the canteen for a change, usually it's mid (but it's free, so I won't complain (actually I often do, nevermind)).

This is fun 😕

I spent a lot of time watching real footage of atmospheric US nuclear tests several years ago (I find mushroom clouds beautiful). Somebody had helpfully put them all on one site
