Bruno Mars - The Romantic (out Feb 27)

Lower than I expected but Sunday numbers are always incomplete. I wonder if it’ll go higher once the full update is in.
 
the song fell 8-15 on UK spotify on Sunday so I'd be surprised if he does go in any higher than #5 on Friday
 
I haven’t really bothered with this after day 1 but it beating out Taylor’s chart foolery is welcome.
 
He's probably only got one more week anyway before Harry Styles rolls in
 
Much preferring the remix. It's not as radio friendly as the original, but this is a way more interesting song.

 
This is out now - album is apparently a scant 31 minutes. And I Just Might is supposedly not really representative of the album.
 
“Risk It All” will be the new single and is getting a video premiere in the morning.

This album is interesting. It's Bruno embracing his Puerto Rican side in the same vein as Bad Bunny; it's like the latter's Debi Tirar Mas Fotos but more Americanized (if that makes sense), and it somehow works. NO sign of r&b at all.
 
I thought the album was like a parody at first, the latin influences are so on the nose I wasn’t quite sure what sort of album I was listening to. The middle of the album has a couple of really strong tracks. It’s a bit classic ballad heavy for a 9 track album.

Can’t wrap my head around the album yet, it’s just a collection of pop songs and doesn’t feel like a cohesive album, but maybe that’s what a Bruno Mars album sounds like, I can’t actually remember …
 
24k Magic did 231k ten years ago so not bad. Risk It All is still #1 on US Spotify and #3 Global so it could have legs.

 
I'm surprised Gorillaz beat him to the #1 album in the UK, I just assumed he would walk it!
