It's sort of couched within a wider criticism of how the Olympic committee runs its elections, which may well be very valid (I have no idea) but here's Marina bemoaning the fact that Seb Coe wasn't elected on his platform to ban transwomen from Olympic sports. :eyes:

I'm not well versed in sports because who the fuck has time for that, but is "protection of the female category" considered a TERF dog whistle? Because it certainly reads as one

It’s certainly a topic which attracts a strong TERF following. It’s possible to make a non-transphobic interpretation of it but it’s very much a ‘guilty until proven innocent’ situation.
 
Seb Coe specifically ran on banning transwomen though, didn't he? From what I've seen he didn't couch it in anything, it was his main platform.

 
They did very quickly delete a Tik Tok with a clip from the Harry Potter episode which suggests the brand may be a bit more TOXIC than they want to believe :eyes:
 
Oh dear. I was a little nervous going into the Harry Potter Q&A episode but it was all very careful. I guess her column is another matter.

I had such a weird advert for The Last of Us on Sky I’m sure it was producer Michael from Parenting Hell doing the Richard bits but it was in exactly same lilt as Richard it was so weird. Then it just went into Richard as if nothing had happened.

I’m starting to think Marina gets off a recording and goes on an absolute rampage about Richard for 30 minutes to her husband.

She was quite short with him today knowing exactly the one liner he was going to come out with and she shut it down

Oh I really enjoyed that segment, although Richard does tend to butt in with annoying asides more when it's something he doesn't have a lot of expertise in.
 
I've been listening to their Traitors review episodes and enjoying, bit of a late comer to this pod
 
I loathe them (mostly him) more and more with every passing day

But, at the same time, I still love what the podcast is doing.

Cowell manages it reasonably well, but they were clearly in that kinda mood.
 
I thought Simon did pretty well there. I was expecting a bit of a cringe pile-on but he seemed quite pleased to be getting an interview different from the others and was quite charmed by Marina and Richard (or was he charming them?)

I don’t think Richard quite over got his point that by just being Simon Cowell he’s always producing the show subconsciously which in turn leads to moments of inauthenticity whether he discussed them or not with other people.

Did like Marinas sneering intro at the start about him signing novelty acts which is exactly as it should be.
 
I appreciate Marina for not pulling any punches but why didn't she ask the burning question? Why does he pronounce because BECOOZ?

I only listened to the audio and initially thought it was just an edited version of what she did for the guardian but the video version at least shows it was done in her home.

 
I wasn’t convinced Marina was actually wishing the safety and love to the Dubai influencers.
