It's obviously a great gig by any standard and God love him for his passion for venerable divas, but Shania Twain opening for Harry Styles just feels so WRONG.

The new song is... interesting

It just doesn't sound like a multiple week #1 smash. It's like a 12" remix of a pop song. That intro is not going to work for radio for a start. His voice is also quite muffled.

Overall it has something, it might be a grower, and it'll surely do well just based on the momentum and hype, but it's an odd choice for a big launch single.

this is really very good. lush production. it reminds me of both Rufus du Sol and recent Tame Impala (End of Summer in the bass), but tightened up into a radio friendly pop track. after a couple of listens it won't sound uncommercial.

can't wait to listen more. and think I may need to get tickets for the tour.

I'm really tired of that sidechain-compression sound but it gets part that quickly and goes just a bit bangertastic. You can imagine this as a big singalong at the gigs.

There is apparently a radio edit that’s just over 3 minutes. I like this so far, and the production (I see some Ray of Light comparisons) but don’t love how muffled he sounds.

This is very good. There is a bit of Green Light about it. I agree the verse vocals are not clear but you do latch on to them with subsequent listens.

It will be interesting to see whether the next song continues with this or if there is a more obvious single in reserve.
