The Traitors (UK) S04E12 - The Final

Who Will Win?

Jack and Faraaz not voting the same on the final 4 is unspeakably stupid though - this was easily the worst set of Faithfuls ever.
That was the decisive mistake for sure, but in fairness they had no idea Rachel and Stephen were coordinating their votes. As far as they were concerned they’d have at least one other vote going their way as Rachel and Stephen had convinced each of them they’d be going for the other one. Excellent gameplay from them.

The absolute best outcome, the stars of the show and they played it out flawlessly. It was like it was scripted. Still can't quite believe it could have all gone to shit at the start of the episode if Rachel had picked the wrong box!

Doesn’t matter if they thought Rachel and Stephen were working together or not, if they were both in 100% trust of each other (which they pretty clearly were) there should have been a deadlock and they should have decided on one name they were going to vote for. Splitting their vote at that stage was literally suicide. I know they thought that they had probably taken a traitor out in Jade, but still… mindblowingly stupid.

Loved loved LOVED the outcome. I was rooting for the traitors since the Fiona secret traitor reveal. Rachel winning was an absolute gag, and because she got through by chance. For FUCK SAKES MOOPY THERE IS A GOD!! Rachel deserved the whole lot, and I absolutely know if her arse wasn’t on the line she had no conscience and would have fucked Stephen over. Stephen having the final say, although fantastic television. I would have much preferred our Rachel being in his shoes and fucking him over at the last minute. I think she definitely would have and I probably would have LIVED FOR IT.

I actually much prefer the fact they did it together because it made for another different outcome at the end that we haven’t had and proved it can be done (I think Alan and cat would have done the same had Cat not been clearly on the way out too - but that’s different because they weren’t playing for money for themselves so sharing between two charities isn’t the same as sharing between two players). I’d like to think Rachel wouldn’t have stabbed him in the back actually.

It was odd to me that Rachel and Stephen both voted red on the second vote - if they wanted to show their loyalty to each other surely they should have voted to end the game as they had basically won at that point if they didn’t vote again.

I can kind of see why. They knew they had nothing truly to risk from voting again. Whereas if I end up being the only person to light the flames green, I’ve outed myself as a traitor and I could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

They had the risk that if they voted red and the other person voted green that suddenly the other person might not trust them any more. I would have voted green and if I’d seen my fellow traitor voting red I’d have instantly thought… ‘ they’re wanting to keep the game going to get rid of me’ and then turned against them. As soon as I saw they’d gone red I assumed that’s what they had both decided.

Stephen just said that the money has not hit has bank yet? I thought it would have went in straight away? When was it filmed?

I had NO IDEA. Things like The Chase are filmed a year or more in advance?
Yeah accounts seem to vary though as to when they get winnings though, some game shows pay out straight away and some don't pay at all if their episode doesn't air, which seemd pretty mean!

Yeah pretty sure they never pay til it airs because they have things like confidentiality clauses that they have to keep to - and if they break them they wouldn’t receive the money.

It's also about mantaining that confidentiality for the viewer. The level of Traitor fandom is FERAL and if Stephen bought a house, everyone would be suddenly crowing and about putting two and two together.

I just watched the last three episodes. This game has a tendency of getting the most useless players to the final stages (+ the odd cunt in James, this time).

It would have been devastating to watch the particularly boring Faraaz and Jack win after that masterpiece from Rachel all season. The way it went down and the fact that both traitors won made it all *chef’s kiss*

Stephen was just loving the screen time and playing up the drama before every vote reveal wasn’t he? :disco:

Oh that's awful that the experience will forever have that attached to it for her :(

How shit, I was wondering why it was just Stephen doing all the press yesterday. Hopefully she got to travel back and be with her at the end.

Finally caught up after being cruelly trapped in the wicked Paris for the finale.

Cannot believe Rachael pulled this off, what a psychopath, and such a satisfyingly HOMOSEXUAL victory after that dreadful heterosexual nonsense last year.
