Jessie Ware: I Could Get Used To This & Superbloom

She's done almost 500,000 on Spotify in 2 days, which isn't a bad number for someone who doesn't really touch the singles charts.

Exactly I mean has La Bambola even cleared 1M yet and how are we doing on the ABBA scale @lolly?

796k total, just under 14k daily, and between On And On And On and I Still Have Faith In You On the Abba scale of streaming relativity.
What about I Could get used to this though??? I’m guessing it’s bigger than On and On and On?!

Kworb hasn't bothered updating Jessie for 11 days to know the daily total. It's on 714k total though, so if we think that's about 220k more in two days since @funky posted on Monday, that would see her topping Knowing Me Knowing You but below SOS.

album Superbloom out April 10th

Not keen on the albam title but I Could Get Used to This has grown on me. fitting singal title.

I have no opinion on the title but agree the motion blur is a bit rubbish

Honey some of us have been there for the last five years

Ok yaaass hun death drop in the compost aisle coming through okrrrrr etc

I feel like you are in your Rosemary Conley Fusion era with a permanent cocktail in your hand :disco:

and an instrumental clip of something new (one of the interludes?) here

I guess Appleton were TOO BUSY!

Good of Jessie to step in at the last minute.

Just watched her on Graham Norton. Loved the dressed as Sarah Brightman for Halloween look (and Halle extending her trail of the garment on the couch they were all the sole guest on). Liked the song.

Lovely vocals

The set is very 'bed sheets drying in the garden'

The song's still a puddle of nothing. Do we think they went with it as lead single thinking TikTok might like the titular soundbite?

💯 on the tik tok thing. I like this but I'm hoping the next song is a huge step up in quality.

Yeah, she sounds great but it just underlines how much her talent is wasted on this. It sounds like a filler song from a forgettable stage musical.

it's easily one of her worst singles ever. it's really nothingy. I'll hold out hope for the album. was playing Tough Love in bed last night - she has such a brilliant back cat. she won't disappoint.

I really like it. She sounds incredible and I appreciate it's quite slight, but it's a lovely, dreamy little song.

Loved the Graham Norton perf, and the song has really grown, despite it not feeling like a lead single she needs. I'll stick with it being an 'opener' to the album..

The downside of being a Jessie Ware fan is that we are so used to being served earth-shattering masterpieces that when she cooks up an 8/10 track we’re all a bit disappointed.

Have to believe the album will come up with the goods

I've said it before, but I can enjoy her voice probably more than any other singer I've ever seen - because it's always so fucking flawless that you're always confident she is going to deliver. That's always impeccable and constant, even if the material comes up slightly short of expectation.

  1. The Garden Prelude
  2. I Could Get Used to This
  3. Superbloom
  4. Automatic
  5. Chariots of Love Interlude
  6. Sauna
  7. Mr. Valentine
  8. Love You For
  9. Ride
  10. Don't You Know Who I Am?
  11. 16 Summers
  12. No Consequences
  13. Mon Amour
Ride is the James Ford produced big diva vocal house track she performed a couple of years ago (Ride My Love). Sauna is said to be a banger.

studio clip of Ride. it seems to have been made more 80s. giving back half of WYP? in the best way.

Intriguing. Not sure if that sample will pop off or be annoying, but at least it's a new Jessie song that's not I Could Get Used To This
