Well i’m glad I just watched the performances and just came back here just now to see who got through :D A*teens the only one i’d bother to listen to again !

It really could've done with Alcazar as the performers to give it some proper welly. And the moment where the camera just panned across the audience while they were running behind the boxes to climb up top was a disaster! It should've had the cameras following Andreas like he was inviting someone into an alleyway behind the bins :disco:
 
Also whoever thought that andra chansen announcement format was a good idea just doesn't understand anything about television.
 
A*Teens were so clearly a cut above the rest - it felt like a celebrity interval performance

Have to say that Sara impressed me the most - she really delivered the passion, the spirit and the mightiest of hair flicks.

One thing I really hate about the current format is the way it creates a tiered system for the finalists. We don't know yet how close A*Teens were to Greczula on the vote, but there'll be the impression now that he has the winner momentum and they just got through.

Hopefully they have the bigger hit in the coming weeks. There's really nothing much to his song beyond the borrowed Elton John/Laura Branigan hook.

Interesting - we thought the opposite as all those 12s and the ceremony of the televote! I would rather go through like that.

It didn’t help Måns when he beat KAJ in their heat last year.
 
Also, it is kind of evened out by the additional screen time and ceremony the other qualifier gets, as well as the fact they qualify based on the system that will eventually be used in the final.
 
yesterday also reminded me of one of the things I like best about Melodifestivalen in terms of its narrative arc - that Marie Serneholt can flop badly with her two solo entries but now fifteen years later experience the succcess that eluded her - it shows you that life is full of opportunities if you just keep holding on and never stop believing
 
I take it back actually - I think I did enjoy the return of the scoreboard in the end? Just make it a quick announcement of who got andra chansen straight after to close things out with THE ARRIVAL OF LOVE after though.

Here's a crazy thought: Announce the scoreboard winner, get them out of the green room, set up the stage for a proper reprise, use those 2 minutes to announce who made AC and finish with the finalist's performance. :o
 
The scoreboard is just SUCH a waste of time. Maybe one week out of five will it offer up any actual suspense.
 
I can't believe Anton Ewald deciding to drop a molly in the Green Room killed off proper reprises forever :(

This is slightly unreflective of how they will do in Sweden as they are including my 75,000 streams for A*Teens since Friday, and SVT have somehow figured out how to block my VPN from voting through the app
