Yes it doesn't have an ounce of originality about it but this is Melodifestivalen for god's sake, what does?!

Also I don't think being able to name half a dozen different things it's ripping off strengthens the plagiarism case like they think it does.
 
Having sat with Half of Me in full, I think my greatest complaint about it is that it just doesn't do much differently in the last half of the song. It really wears out its welcome.

I believe Suomi is accurate.
 
I still don't for the life of me understand how any pop lover could deny I Can't Get Enough, Tattoo, On and On and On, or Effortless (or Iconic, for that matter!). Cazzi Opeia has more than proven her pop chops at this point.

Just catching up on this now as I had my Eurovision event on Saturday. The plan was to show this on screen at the end of the event, but we changed our minds to continue the disco part instead.

I’m glad we did as this. Was. Not. It.

Greczula - what the fuck is this? A total rip off of about 10 different songs. And he is so slappable. Not a surprise he won.

Jacqueline - what the fuck is this? It’s a downgrade from Effortless but that was the best song of Mello 2024. It isn’t bad but it’s not amazing. Glad she made it though.

Noll2 - what the fuck is this? Boring. Well sung I guess but a total no hoper.

Junior Lerin - what the fuck is this? Seriously this was LAUGHABLE. I’ve no idea who he is but he’s clearly not a singer. Nor a dancer. Nor a performer in any shape or form. One of the worst songs to ever be in Mello, even worse than Addis Black Widow and Kwanzaa.

Indra - what the fuck is this? She was so off key. Was she ill? The song is okay but I couldn’t get past those vocals.

A*Teens - what the fuck is this? ICONIC is what it is! By far the best song and performance of the night. Surprised they didn’t win the first round of voting but I suspect it was pretty close.

Now. The show is a mess. The voting was not exciting in the slightest. I don’t know who is producing this show but they have no clue whatsoever. Shoving the third qualifier off to SVT Play was a joke - though on the replay they’ve put it on at the end of the show. Thankfully they have fixed that for next week.

Iconic is PERFECT POP, I remain obsessed.
