its fine but i prefer fruit & nut or a purple yorkie bar.
 
I don't remember if I ever had a Yorkie (I still remember them saying not for girls haha). Also I must be the only one who doesn't care for fruit and nut chocolate. 😅
 
I agree that Milka tastes better than Dairy Milk, though I've not had Milka for ages. 😅 Last year/2 months ago I had a Dairy Milk advent calendar (which had the tray upside down, could've been a disaster for a child :D) and it was fine, even though I've become less tolerant to milk. Marvellous Creations were great (which I've also not had for ages) with the jelly beans and popping candy. 🪄 I think Crunchie (honeycomb) is another filling I like.

Regarding Cadbury's dark chocolate, Bourneville is nice, Dark Milk was okay but nothing special. I've probably missed the time the chocolate was better in the 1990s (then again it's perhaps a nostalgia thing, tastebuds and portion sizes). ☺️
 
I agree that the Dairy Milk texture is not quite the same now. I always went more for Bournville but when I tried it the other week that seemed different as well. Obviously I still wouldn't turn my nose up at either, I am not that fussy.

I usually go for Sainsbury's own dark chocolate, when it is in stock. I prefer the taste and more traditional chunks.
 
There are some supermarket own brands which are much better than Cadbury's.

I only really eat dark chocolate now (I find milk chocolate too sickly sweet and cloying) but never tried Bourneville and quite frankly wouldn't now. Lidl's 70% is nice.
 
Also I don't think I was EVER able to stomach the contents of a Creme Egg, even prior to the acquisition by Mondalez.
 
I used to love chocolate so very much. I barely touch it now, so I have no idea about changed recipes.
 
I didn't remember to buy it last time I was in Lidl but I also really like the J.D. Gross dark chocolate, even the 90% :disco:
 
Slightly OT: I bought a bargain multi-pack of three purple Yorkie Bars today from MORRISONS! - thought I'd treat myself throughout the week. Are any of them left? Nope.

I had M&S Sunny Side Up Whips recommended to me last week. They are kind of a cross between a Creme Egg and a Walnut Whip (minus the walnut).

Better chocolate than a Creme Egg (don't Cadbury use their cheaper chocolate than Dairy Milk for most of their bars etc now?), but the filling is nowhere near as disgustingly delicious.

6/10.

And I also had a white chocolate Creme Egg as well. Totally incorrect balance of flavour. 3/10.
 
I'm always amazed to discover that Toffifee still exists.
