Melodifestivalen 2026: Deltävling Four (Malmö)

I think that was the weakest SiP song out of that, Heroes Are Calling and Six Feet Under but the staging was out of this world. It could win but I predict they'll have the same trajectory as Medina, comfortably qualify, pick up some points and finish around where they normally do.

I can't see how anyone can beat ~FELICIA~ still :disco: what a surprise revelation that ones been!

I prefer it to Heroes Are Calling. I was on the fence until the live performance and now I’m thoroughly on board with it

They definitely feel like Felicia’s biggest competition.

I can't take SIP seriously. I think it's the two guitarists PRANCING about the stage with electric guitars that AREN'T PLUGGED IN.

Meira got DOUBLE the votes that the song in 4th got, I would say she's in the final for sure.

Depending on what next week brings you’d imagine it’d be her and Robin?

Worst heat so far. That piss weak song getting though direkt simply because the competition was nonexistent. Hopeful they were just saving some of the best till last

So the first finalist of the Finalkval is the song that had the biggest percentage of the votes in its semi final (excluding the Radiohjälpen televotes). We don't know the total votes in each semi but as Meira was so far ahead of the others in her semi compared to the others, she's in the final at the moment. All depends on next week. Then the other 4 battle it out and I think it is based on pure votes. So therefore I think it's Robin at the moment.

Sanna has apparently got a FANTASTIC song, surely she will win the semi final, even based on name alone.

I was sadly out and missed the show, but just catching up on Dooset Daram.

12455 obviously. My poor wig and bussy have been BLASTED APART.

I'm correct to assume Meira went DTF, and need not research any further, right?

Exactly correct. They didn't say it out loud on the show because they didn't want to embarrass the other acts, but she went direct with all the points.

Sorry, were you morons watching a different show?

Cimberly (or Cumberland as my phone has taken to autocorrecting) is a star, and had a song that actually works outside the context of “wigs being snatched” or whatever for 3 minutes.

Obviously in a just world, Cimberly and Meira would have been the two finalists but we all know that was never going to happen.

And Meira will be fine. She’ll get through second chance easily. It’s all good. Especially for the ButterTarts and Tisches of the world who will campaign for any old tuneless shite with a guitar.

I have heard from quite a reliable source that it’s GOOD but non-competitive and sounds like Dynamite by Tao Cruz (sp?) :zombie:

I love how Meira's voice is totally different with each new performance :D
Last year in the final she sounded nothing like in her heat, and this time around it has nothing in common either. I hope she gets to sing again in two weeks!

Oh my god this is literally true, she’s had three different backing vocalists for each performance it seems. :D

I prefer Dooset Daram to Hush Hush, but my disappointment for Meira was outweighed by my JOY for Cimberly (+ Melanie). What a genuine, brilliant surprise it was to see her go direkt.

I don't understand how Jacqline didn't have priority for Eternity, it's a lot better than Woman which would now be surplus to requirements in the final.

I wonder if she did have priority but decided that it was maybe a bit TOO similar to Effortless.

Not that Woman is worlds apart but it at least goes off on a slight tangent sonically.

Woman suits Jac better. I really like Cimberly's performance of Eternity, it is so uplifting and joyful, but there is a slight bit of 'this is my moment' cheese and Jacqline is more SULTRY than that

With so many songs relying on gimmicks it was quite refreshing to have Cimberley just stand there and belt it out

In a way, Cimberley vs Meira was also a battle of moderation vs indulgence :D

I have just been catching up on last night's performances.

SiP singer's voice is like nails down a chalkboard for me.

I really liked Timo's song and he was a charming presence. It is the kind of track I could imagine Bengtzing giving a good go.

Bless Meira, she does sound a little automaton in studio form and her perf, as exciting as it was, showed why. That last part was such a thrill though.

Looking up last night - Agnes must be FUMING Here Comes the Night barely did anything in Sweden (#86!) and its two clear tributes are set to outstrip it by miles

(if she even pays the slightest attention to Melfest anymore, that is)
