Bulgaria 2026: DARA - Bangaranga

If the rumours are true (as in, the person who leaked this a couple of weeks ago) then it should be a national final too, which would be their first proper one since 2012
 
I have a feeling it could be either Victoria :gross: or Poli Genova :disco: again.
 
Wow all these previously broke countries simultaneously announcing their return ahead of the conference in December :eyes:

Oh the EBU is absolutely chucking out discounts to try and keep numbers up. I wouldn't be surprised if an arrangement has been reached for them to either run this year at a loss or for the likes of Germany, Israel, Austria and Switzerland to chip more in to keep it going.
 
Obviously I'm delighted Bulgaria and Romania are back. It's a shame it's clearly been done for cynical reasons, but I'll take it. It's the first time I've felt positive about anything to do with Eurovision 2026.

Apparently the eventual song(s) will be by the (self-titled :eyes:) Dream Team, aka Dimitris Kontopoulous (Shady Lady, Sugar, You Are The Only One, This Is Our Night, Shh, X My Heart etc etc)
 
I do wonder if Bulgaria would’ve notched up a win by now had they not withdrawn for three years.
 
We really have been spoilt with this, Jalla and Nova Zora all in the same contest :disco:
 
Maybe that'll work on a stage that's bigger than a broom cupboard but it's not quite clicking for me yet.
 
The hard cut between the rather HAUNTING verses and banging chorus are quite something to digest.

It's A Little Bit Alexis if it was performed by Jesy Nelson. She'd really do justice to the spoken title.

It's a complete mess but it's really forcing its way into my affections.

It also feels very unlike most of the Dream Team's other stuff? Bar, well, SHH
 


This seems like a very obvious choice to open Semi 2. They won’t want Choke Me Daddy on first, and the only other uptempo is Armenia.
 
Yeah I’ve gone off it a bit and Azerbaijan aside I think pretty much anything could qualify. Mind you, they do strike me as the sort of delegation that like a bribe or two..
 
Yeah I started to think that this might be facing an uphill struggle to qualify but then I remembered that they’re bent as fuck so it’ll be fine.
