Completely forgot about Gone until I was listening to the Orbit demo.



I do prefer the Music version. There's something so special about how crisp, sharp and sleazy and ignited the Mirwais production is. I particularly love how she sounds in moments like "lose my faith". The downbeat ballads are subtly awash with all these lush little embellishments. I miss her striving for these fully cohesive sonic soundscapes. I guess there was a mild return to this on X, which is what made it more reassuring and impressive rather than truly songful.

it's great timing for her that all this appreciation for her back cat is happening now. we just need new music to be good.
