I'll be curious if his profile goes back to normal or if he continues to hide away. The latter would suggest they don't think he's particularly safe from Iran, so they're being particularly careful about his security.

Not ded. It wouldn't surprise me if they were using AI either for convenience or as a deliberate wrongfoot but this is why fascists love AI and have plouged so much into it - anything you see, you didn't because it was AI. Anything you hear, you didn't because it was AI. Every abuse of power you film - AI.
 
There's a lot of quite serious people fretting about what's coming in the next few days. Trump giving Iran 48 hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or he'll destroy their power stations, with the Iranian response being potentially catastrophic for the whole world.

I don't see Iran backing down, and we know they still have fire power.

Fun days ahead.
 
Trump is incapable of backing down and he's surrounded himself with moronic yes men who either have a massive boner for war or who believe that if they bring on the apocalypse, Jesus will return. We could well be extremely fucked.
 
I saw a theory the other day, that it's all a TV show to him. He pulled back on ICE because the TV show looked bad, Greenland was boring... Iran is exciting - visual, dynamic. He literally said after the infamous Zelensky incident "this will make great TV".

We've stepped into a world led by a declining billionaire pensioner who believes he's a TV producer.

Yet he has 1000s of ground troops ready to go. His words claim victory and completion, but he'll say or do something else by this evening.

I don’t know if there’s really a tangible difference? He’ll never admit to backing down of course, but it seems unlikely that he’s going to follow through on his threats to invade.
 
I don't even know what America's goal for the war is anymore. I get Israel's reasoning, but the US one is so unclear
 
It's the supposed 'neo-Monroe' doctrine, which takes a more aggressive/interventionist approach to American interests. It makes Trump's administration sound cunning and calculating (which his followers desperately want to believe he is) but it's really just simple-brained selfish messiness.

Socialism really is a world away now isn’t it? Between the tech bros and the oligarchs and Trumps pals and the oil traders and the bitcoin influencers, the wealth gap got a LOT bigger over the last 12 months.
