The interesting omission was Edwards' family. It's right they weren't included if they (ONE ASSUMES) didn't want to be in it, but it would have made for good telly. Imagine finding out your famous dad is a dirty old nonce!

I don't get what this serves. Is it "entertainment"? It's too fresh in the memory to be of any factual/educational (wrong words, can't get the right one) or analysis value, even if you ignore the fact its on Channel 5.

But still, the above shows I'm clearly wrong.

people just feel like scripted drama is real whereas a documentary or the news is... boring I guess. DRY. it's more exciting to see something dramatised.

definitely a bit icky in cases like this but when almost everything in life is either SORDID or SHIT... let them eat cake!

I guess if your reputation has been completely shattered and you've gone from decades of being trusted and liked by a nation to being a pariah (all as a result of things your own criminal acts, ofc), the natural human response is not humility but to lash out or try and claw back some of what you had. it won't happen but it's probably not a surprise that he refuses to accept his life as it is now.
