A mere three years after Tattoo, she's finally gotten around to the album release.

WILDFIRE is the long-awaited new studio album from Loreen, set for release on 27th March. Marking her first full studio album in nearly a decade, WILDFIRE is a powerful and intimate body of work that explores emotion, perception and inner transformation, a record that allows the full emotional spectrum to exist, from vulnerability and pain to freedom, love and truth.

The album features the global phenomenon “Tattoo”, alongside fan-favorite “Is It Love” and the transcendent new single “Feels Like Heaven”, co-written with Sia. Together, the tracks reflect Loreen’s unique ability to fuse raw emotional honesty with cinematic pop, creating music that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Loreen is the only female artist to have won the Eurovision Song Contest twice and has amassed over 9 billion streams worldwide. “Tattoo” topped radio airplay and singles charts in five countries, further cementing her status as one of the most distinctive and influential voices in modern pop.

With WILDFIRE, Loreen returns with an album that is fearless, expansive and profoundly human.

the other artwork is even better

"signed manifesto" :eyes:

A Sia co-write... it will be mumble multiplied.

They may all turn out to be two minutes long but at least that looks like a full album with lots of new material. She seems to have decided that the singles from the last two years did not happen :D

With her famous work ethic, I’m surprised she didn’t bung all the singles on with two new tracks and call it a day. :D

I’ve been in the mood for some emotional mumbling lately so a new album is a pleasant surprise.

well I LIKED IT. her best since Is It Love? certainly

what I'm getting from the internet is that all her fans hate her now. the song is doing nothing, stuck at 5 on her Spotify.

I really like the song!
Fingers crossed she's booked an interval act spot at Mello to promote it...

Some terminally online people are annoyed at her for using generative AI in the video - although she denies it. :side-eye:

to be fair to her I don't think any gen AI was used in the video. there was CGI capable of doing flames long before AI.

the title track is REALLY GOOD

the most I've enjoyed a Loreen track on first listen since Is it Love? for sure

Where Do We Go From Here - love this RACKET
Weapons is absolutely HUGE :disco: fuck
Melt - a fun basic bop
Wildfire - lush, odd, trippy
Coming Close - gorgeous and breezy
Set Me Free - circuit bop
Lose That Light - pretty!
True Love - stunning

a lot of this album is quite dense and claustrophobic which makes the airier moments stand out. also quite a bit STRANGER than I was expecting, not at all full of basic bops.

very good stuff. Weapons is straight back on.

Could she go top 10 in the UK with this albam? I have no idea of her reach in the UK

Yeah, her profile is pretty much nonexistent here outside her two big Eurovision hits, and what fanbase she has she's pissed off so much that I don't know how many are still invested enough to have pre-ordered this. :D

Expand please?
She was just a bit rubbish. She somehow made every song sound the same. RUINED Statements and My Heart is Refusing Me. The smoke machine basically obscured the stage. Her dialogue consisted of MANCHESTER shouted several times. Oh and there was some sort of effect put over her voice which was completely unnecessary

I greatly enjoyed partaking in this. There is so much teasing of Tattoo with the intros that I was in disbelief when it finally appeared.
