Tuesday raises family with impregnated foal

Got up to go to the gym, spent half an hour trying to find my car keys (including looking around my front garden with a torch). They’re were in my short pockets :bruised:

MORNING!

Did the gym, the hot gym crush boy has started wearing a sleeveless vest thing today and I practically wet my pants as a result, I realised the intro to "Girl Overboard" by Girls Aloud is perhaps the most thrilling ten seconds in popular music and I'm now sat at my desk about to spend the day finalising my big client pitch for Thursday morning.

WHAT A LIFE

Today I'm doing a spot of investigative journalism, and watching a film screener I blagged the BFI for quite easily. I've also just been invited on to an Islamic radio stations drivetime debate. Never dull.

Last day of AL. Two days in and then four more off.

Plans for the day - finish current book (Berlin set chemsex and fisting) and start the more sedate book club Jane Austen title.

Grooving at my seat to Angine de Poitrine again. The algorithm has really been doing its job recently.

Just confrimed my suspsicions aren't the rambling of a deluded stoner with an industry stalwart. Now to find the RECEIPTS

OT:

These are the greatest things I've ever tasted:

I do like a good grape

But most are SHIT.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- I'm INFINITELY annoyed by the fact we have to pay extra for fruit to taste like its actually supposed to.

And do NOT get me started on the peach/nectarine CRISIS of the last few years.

I've given up on mangoes, can't get good ones here.

I've NEVER been a massive mango fan- they're ALRIGHT but never great. Peaches and nectarines are my favourite thing in the world but that three week window where they are AMAZING in summer seems to have disappeared.

I'm more of a strawberry girlie, they usually don't disappoint in June and July.

Same with most supermarket veg, once you've grown stuff and realised what an actual tomato/carrot tastes like it's impossible not to shed a tear when you bight into some abomination of an offering from tesco

I've actually found Aldi do some of the best supermarket fruit going.

I just did my kind deed for the year. I saw an old man struggling in the street to walk. I volunteered to help him. It took 90 minutes to walk a few hundred yards. I feel like my arm is about to fall off.

Still not going to heaven :disco:

I know it's middle class wank and a privilege that some can't afford, but I'll always do a farmers' market if I want good veg. Or any decent market, really. But they aren't always easy to find in cities.

Oh God we have new neighbours. I knocked and said hello. They appear to be a young family, but not that young. They seemed nice.
