American Horror Story - Season 13 (1 Viewer)

I haven't watched since Roanoke. Is Ryan Murphy's work still awful?

The last season I fully watched was the one with Joan Collins I believe. The rest I watch the first episode and then give up

Feud was his best work I think because the story was already camp to begin with. He's shit when he tries to force camp - which is all the time.

I've decided to rewatch this from S1 in anticipation for S13. I'll probably get to S3 Coven then stop but the intention is there :D

Not watching any previews, but cannot wait for Lange devouring the scenery like a one woman plague of locusts.

This is shit. Truly. I hope Lange got a massive paycheck as this is so stagnant for me. I genuinely don't care what is happening on screen whilst watching this. Will I keep watching until the end? The day every episode drops? You bet I will!

Jessica could make any shitty page of dialogue magic. She’s the only good thing about this series. 6 episodes in and I really don’t give a shit what this is leading to.

This doesn’t excite me because I never liked Coven anyway. I like the seasons where death means death as the stakes are higher. In Coven everyone died and no one died. See also 1984. Could have been good but everyone just kept coming back to life.

I’ve watched all of them except Delicate though - I only managed about 20 minutes of that one.

My favourites are the grittier ones: Asylum is the pinnacle. I love the big change up in Roanoke halfway through, that’s great. And I also liked NYC with the gay murders and Russell Tovey. I also liked the first half of the Double Feature season - it really benefited from having a story that was done in 5-6 episodes.

Episodes 7 and 8 (both Coven-based) much better. Both around the 25 minute mark - absolutely ridiculous serving these up as single episodes.
