It’s essentially just an avatar paired with a song. This is used because the person behind the song isn’t revealed until after the voting, so the avatar acts as a temporary placeholder until then.

Hi PercyPig. I know so many are mourning the loss of the music pages on Popjustice Forum, but it's the LGBTQIA+ section which has meant the most to me. It's been a huge source of comfort during my transition. Unfortunately, I was never able to register with the site, and have been anxious that I might never be able to finish reading that section. I've been searching for a way and saw your post. If you're no longer using your account, would you consider allowing me to for the next couple of days? Hope you don't mind me asking. I don't want to be a bother. Abi. X

the new forum looks good. one interesting quirk is that Discourse (which I guess is the server? or the host? is that the same thing?) "doesn't allow pages" so every topic is one long page with a navigation scroller on the right side of the page. that will take some GETTING USED TO
