Caribbean Blue is a truly beautiful song, one of Enya’s best.

My only critique (perhaps irrelevant haha, but seems like it could work) is that it could've been more Caribbean or reggae-influenced*. Irish musicians tend to do reggae justice.
*Edit - if it had anything to do with the song below, the Caribbean bit is more about the mystery of the colour, rather than the vibe of the place, so that doesn't matter.
Of course, this Enya creation is beautiful as it is

Whilst none surpass the original, there are some nice slower versions, remixes etc..

This song is also called Caribbean Blue
and it was from 2 years earlier, in 1989 (and Enya did visit Japan that year, promoting Watermark. )
I don't watch or know much anime (Pokémon being the main one I know; I watched Howl's Moving Castle ages ago, and know about Spirited Away and Totoro) or manga films.
However, I certainly appreciate the art, especially for older ones like this.

The main character, Hiromi, is a tennis player. I think it sort of follows her from the early days in older iterations, and this 'final stage' is when she succeeds. Aside from that it's illustrated, the sporty aspect and guy she falls for or something, I suppose she kind of resembles Enya.

As for the song, I really like Hiroko's singing, and the tune is quite memorable too.
I think she sings more for the show, and the album 'Prime Privacy' of course. Instrumentally/arrangement-wise Enya's is more unique, but I'm glad to have found this lovely song too.

I found out from a fellow Enya fan (he's Portuguese but lives in Brazil with his husband) who isn't much of a Brazilian funk fan, that 'at the beginning he just shouts "the funk is gonna roll and it's gonna be outrageous" then he just keeps saying "go go" and some other vulgar things in a somewhat explicit way.'

Also I didn't realise but this singer Nomé Naku/Sierra Bohnet released a cover in November (so I assume she has the rights from Enya)
