Kacey Musgraves - ‘Middle Of Nowhere” (new album era) (1 Viewer)

It’s objectivity a lovely song but it’s a bit too country for me this one.

I'm going to need a little time with this one. I like the feel of it, but I haven't been unable to unhear that hint of Somethin' Stupid in the verses and the transitions to the chorus are a bit of a journey.

I absolutely love this song now. The guitar in it is hypnotic.

- Dry Spell that is. Not the new one.

this is out TODAY? good lord. I'm on Tori for now but can someone report if the Miranda collab is the campest thing in Kacey's discog (at least since High Horse)?

This is such a great album. Definitely more of a traditional country sound than her past few albums, but it’s all just soooo good.

It isn't camp in a High Horse way. The mariachi is to the fore on this one.

Rhinestoned is absolutely gorgeous.

It feels instantly familiar melodically... I thought it was a bit reminiscent of Let Your Love Flow, but I just listened to that and it isn't so close.

"horses and divorces and we both like to drink - maybe we're both more alike than we think". self-deprecating lyrics :D I quite like the gentle mariachi shimmer of this one. the vocal production is a bit odd though.

I need to listen to this album properly but it landed on a mad day for new music. and I'm scared I won't love it.

Gorgeous album. I always write her off butt she always comes back with something amazing. Horses and Divorces is the highlight for me so far but I need more time with it.

You got me shaking my ass in my hot pink shorts
You're laying down laughing on the bathroom floor

Kacey's dry spell DEAD

Wow just listened to this and it just might be my fave album by Kacey. I think it's her most "country" sounding album too so a win all round.

My Middle of Nowhere picture disc LP and "signed card" arrived this morning. Definitely don't bother ordering if you're expecting a proper signed signature. They've gone down the Gary Barlow route of doing the bare minimum. For comparison, see my signed Star-crossed LP from a few years ago.
