I suppose thinking about it, he’s probably exactly the kind of artist who would have represented us by now if the BBC were still the specific kind of useless that led to us sending Engelbert Humperdinck and Bonnie Tyler.
 
With all her money, I'm surprised Senhit isn't spending this time on getting a revamp of Superstar together that might actually be vaguely competitive.

Why revamp the song when you can just take a kitchen sink approach to the costume and stage props? You just know the performance is going to be a LOT.

Well despite the initial confusion, Boy George really seems to be ALL IN now. I'm surprised the mainstream press isn't picking up on his participation more.




Am I nuts for thinking this could qualify on the sheer back of people voting for a big name? (The answer is probably yes)

Boy George must be SO RELIEVED that he honoured his contract, can cash his cheque and avoid borderline WORLDWIDE humiliation by being forced to perform this tonight. It will remain a curious footnote, as if he signed up for Strictly and was booted out week 1.

I don't understand if S.Hit and her DIRTY PANINI EMPIRE MONEY bothered to scam their way to Eurovision dragging Boy George along for the ride (no doubt at GREAT EXPENSE) she didn't just...buy a better song? Even a Adrenalina redux would have been FINE.
The Eurovision equivalent of booking a 5am Ryanair flight requiring £150 taxi to airport and early hotel check in. Truly a false economy if you're going to go to all this effort to fail at the first hurdle.
 
I think the fact that it has a reggae lilt will definitely make all the difference in terms of ending this ongoing conflict.
