Saw the photo of the Slush Puppie machine, I pay £1.50 each for little pouches of blue raspberry to freeze at home so googled it to see whether it would be a cheaper option. The internet says the machines don't work very well and are messy.

a lot more expensive but my brother has the Ninja one and it’s great.
Spawn has one because she's middle-class so has all of the overpriced Ninja machines, I would be willing to pay £35 for the one above if it worked but not £199 for a Ninja.

I found an old pair of linen trousers I bought years ago in a chest of drawers on the spare room, and now I fit in them again. My gusset is certainly less clammy today.

Not sure why I chose a BROWN pair though.

Ah I was looking for a (cheap) slushy maker after we tried some ninja slushies at a friend's house. Lidl do some for £20, but you're lucky if you can get your hands on one...

I’m trying to buy some nice fashionable VESTS to mince about near the pool with on my upcoming work trip. But I can’t find ANY fashionable brands who do them. Am I being SILLY? I’ve been using ā€œtank topā€ and ā€œsleevelessā€ and all those things.

"fashionable vests for men outside"

Uniqlo: Popular with gays in their mid 50s

I should be in marketing

I actually quite like Uniqlo too, but the last couple of years I've made a pact to move away from the lower end high street/fast fashion brands and mostly buy second hand on the step up from that. Which is probably why I can't find what I want :D

Although, I have discovered that I've accidentally (and genuinely) booked the GAY CAPITAL OF MEXICO to stay in for the next six weeks, so maybe I should consider your thoughts.

Vivienne Westwood has tank tops for men if you don't mind spending £150 for one.

I recently ordered a load of stuff from Uniqlo only to find their shipping was 5-10 days from order in 2026. I was meant to be doing a talk this week in London in the heatwave and it looked like nice loose fitting light fabric.

When it eventually turned up everything was fucking MASSIVE and quite frankly shit.

Their sizing is strange for sure- when I was in Japan, I bought a couple of Uniqlo t-shirts (Snoopy/Charlie Brown related) and ended up in "Small" for both of them. Weird considering Japan is quite petite generally.

A lot of their stuff does seem to be cut very square and boxy. I do love their heattech stuff in winter and airism range in summer.

I bought a load of linen shirts and trousers last summer and you want those to be VOLUMINOUS* to keep cool so I don't mind

*this word thanks to the GRAMMAR SCHOOL where we used to get told off for wearing VOLUMINOUS TROUSERS (with bottoms so tapered you could hardly get your feet through)
