Everyone say YAY for FRIDAY (1 Viewer)

I'm working at home waiting for a delivery but really can't be bothered, so I've popped some records on (currently Goodbye Yellow Brick Road) and am vaguely pushing some (digital) papers around but NOT MUCH ELSE.

I'll get up & do the boring stuff like shopping & washing once I've finished listening to the 11 minute version of No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) :disco:

I spent my 20th birthday in Amsterdam, had too much of a space cake, and had a truly terrible time

I'm waiting for a delivery as well. It's actually something I won in a competition - a Frozen toy bundle.
Can't wait to play with my new Elsa doll :D
At least my nieces and my partner's nephew will get some use out of it.

In other news I got bird poop in my eye yesterday when a seagull shat on me as I was leaving a shop
:hostage:

I'm also waiting for a delivery. Five bags of cat litter.

I've been to Amsterdam twice. Once when I was interrailing at 19, with a small group of friends. We desperately wanted to smoke cannabis but were clearly sold a small bag of something swept from the floor, and spent hours trying to smoke it.

The second time was when I was about 26 and went with a friend. You know how there are some friends who you get on fine with, but when you have to share a room with them for the first time, you discover they are unbearable? Very much that.

For similar reasons I am no longer friends with the person I went to Amsterdam with

We fell out with a friend during a trip to Antwerp for Madonna's Celebration Tour. It soured the whole trip and my memories of the two concerts, still annoyed about her behaviour to this day.

I wanted it in the style of the Iamsterdam logo, but copyright said No

Gonna USE IT UP
Gonna WEAR IT OUT
Ain't NOTHING LEFT IN THIS WHOLE WORLD I CARE ABOUT

I went to Amsterdam in 2019 with my boyfriend and some friends, none of whom wanted to do weed with us. So we had some brownies and promptly discovered the tram we needed was down and had to walk to the suburbs high as a kite. We also brought some pills which we never had the chance to do so flushed them. Tragic.

The second time I went to visit a friend and ended up at a drag show in a club called Church. Very friendly crowd in there.

Good decisions only in Amsterdam.

it was my 25th birthday, too much space cake too. I travelled back to Brussels and flew out of Brussels back to France only to sober up when landing and to realise I'd travelled through 3 different countries with weed in my pocket I'd bought while I was fried out of my brain.

As I said in the other thread, I’ll listen to music by rapists and murderers.

But I draw the line at the Dutch

And here's me thinking about another trip to Amsterdam (and the Efteling) in October 🤷‍♂️
I was in Amsterdam and Haarlem two years ago and had a great time.

I've not been to Amsterdam in far too long. Was gonna go for my 40th, but there was a pissing pandemic.

Edible weed is fucking insane and I say that as a man who has put liquid acid in his eyes
Now that it’s legal-ish and I buy edibles from actual stores, I know what I’m getting, but it used to just be a gamble if it was good, too strong, or didn’t work at all

I like Amsterdam and I think you are all being horrible! Although, now I come to think about it… it IS the place I got so high I got out of bed, walked straight into a wall and stubbed my cock. Blood. Pain. Sheer terror. Had a moment, stuck a plaster on it and still went out on the pull.
