I occasionally find myself walking past it being played in public and it improves my day DRAMATICALLY each time.

Shoutout to the TOTP performance, which felt like an immediate A STAR IS BORN moment. Shocked she never lipsynced for her life through a Eurovision entry with a fat woman in the shadows doing the gruntwork offscreen!

 
A deserved number 1, just as it was back in 95. It soundtracked the long hot summer of that year for me (remember the whole HOSEPIPE BAN carry on?) thanks to an extended mix I'd taped off Radio 1. It's still a MOMENT even now.

Huge credit on this thread, Ag - it's been excellent work & a true LABOUR OF LOVE. Not to mention perseverance - Jark would have stopped around #495 :basil:
 
I've been admiring this from afar, and all I can say is TASTE! :disco:

A very nice curation of cheesy good vibes pop to the top 100 of 90s dance where you really can't go wrong. Well done for sticking with it! I will go back over at some point and make a note to listen to some of the lesser known ones to me.

I've really enjoyed it. It's been a while doing any amount of writing, and I genuinely think I'm better at talking about music than I was five months ago.

It hasn't been difficult talking about stuff you love. I'm just gutted it's over.

With you on that. I bought a few old 45s at a thrift shop a couple of months back & considering reviving my old thread to review them - I genuinely miss doing it.

It did not. It's fun, I bought it at the time, but rarely choose to play it.

It was the era when dance music and indie really crossed over and you can imagine this blasting out in the student union bars, flip phones, emo haircuts and charity wristbands aplenty.

I'm giving this a listen now, Ag, for the first time ever & it's not familiar. Perfectly fine, Mr S hates it, but maybe I need a few more listens for it to settle in. I've no issue with it, although I'm surprised it hit your top 30.
