I’m genuinely surprised they didn’t ADD ANOTHER NIGHT for the selection. You just know they were tempted!
 
They're not scrapping the BELOVED COVERS NIGHT for this are they? Otherwise he can piss off back to presenting DEAL OR NO DEAL ITALIA.
 
An evening modeled on Eurovision: the singers will be able to present the song they bring to the competition by "staging" it, with dancers and accompanists. A special evening where anything goes and which will be voted on by the public and the press room.

Ar Sal EXCELLED without a stage show! Maybe through this the Italians will realise that plonking them on stage with nothing but a deadly staircase in the background is the way to go.
 
Full attention on Sal solo would have been better than all the focus we got on the showboating lads at Eurovision.
 
I mean I’m not against it.. but changing a system that’s lead to Italy not finishing any lower than 7th in the past nine years seems a bit pointless.

If the rumours are true that they’ll be selecting the Eurovision entrant separately can Elodie (if she shows up) just re-write Mi Ami Mi Odi please.

I'd say Anna is currently the most popular out of the female acts on that list. Rai would be happy if they got her into Sanremo. They've been trying to persuade her for the last 3-4 years but she's always turned them down.

Tbh I'd be quite happy to see her turn up with this sort of AI SLOP, only to finish down in 21st place. :disco:

Having learned nothing from Eurovision, Rai have also announced the Italia 2027 European arena tour to promote Italian music. Featuring the winner of the main competition, the Minipops winner, Eurovision entrant and other SANREMO ALL STARS yet to be announced (Queen Sal and Sarah 'The Voice' Toscano hopefully).

  • Madrid: 26 February 2027, Movistar Arena
  • Munich: 1 March 2027, Olympiahalle
  • London: 3 March 2027, OVO Wembley Arena
I think they might be overestimating the appetite for this outside of the diaspora.
