1. It was a UK number 1 but it's almost a bit like 'American Pie' and 'Who's That Girl' tier, i.e. everyone has forgotten about it or thinks it's cringe.
2. Madonna didn't want it as the second single. Well she was wrong. It's a banger. And the proof is in the pudding: UK Number 1.
3. Whilst Madonna's very own Justice for Get Together campaign is cute - let's not forget that Sorry pretty much invented Duolingo.
4. Of course the video was Hung Up part 2 but she looked fire and I'd say in fact better than she did in Hung Up.
5. The remix package was *chef's kiss*
6. The Confessions Tour perf is underrated too
7. SONO SPIACENTE.

Do people really think it’s cringe? That’s not my perception.
The fans who think that if their opinion matches that of Madonna then they’re somehow more “elevated” than the rest of us do 👀

(And yes I woke up this morning and chose gay violence)

I've never heard of it being considered cringe either.

It's Strong Enough to Hung Up's Believe for me. Probably not technically as good, but the fact that it's less well remembered means I get more out of digging it out from time to time.

I loved the fact that the video was Hung Up Part 2, the fact it picked up where Hung Up left off was a nice touch and something she’d never done before! The closest I guess were the videos for Take A Bow and You’ll See.

it gets the right amount of love already. I actually think it's a BIT flat. I came to love it but that chorus came out of the oven undercooked. it's all about the intro and the spoken middle 8 part.

that said the PSB remix turns it into a complete 11, their additions and new vocal part totally elevate it.

I do love the verse she got rid of

In terms of songwriting it's a very 'Madonna' song if that makes sense. You can almost tell which songs are the ones she wrote most of the melodies for (not just the lyrics) and which ones she simply reinvented/made better by minor alterations.

I used to be quite NON PLUSSED, but out context of 2005/06 it's quite solid.

The PSB remix is a huge elevation.

For a brief moment I thought it might challenge my favourite Madonna songs ever, but time has let it fade slightly, though it's still 10/10 for me. The absolute thrill when it leaked and I spent the entire day playing it on repeat- happy days.

All the talk about it being the right second single- I do think if Get Together had been the second single it would have been number 1, which I'd have probably preferred.

Didn't we discuss this a little while ago?

Anyway, it's not quite a Madonna classic for me, but it's not very far off.

I just can't get into songs that don't stray beyond 3 notes. Basic AF.

For me it's bland and I thought the video lacked artistic finesse. It's hardly rubbish, but it's kind of like how Runaway Lover just didn't pack much pow for me in the context of Music.

Its a bop and very very good but just suffers a little from being in Hung Ups shadow, and for me, Get Together being so majestic and understated so therefore does seem a bit 'lost'
