Speculate Wildly About Enya (5 Viewers)

Enya has been nibbling on some biscuits for cheese (water biscuits, the grainy thins, cream crackers) without the cheese, whilst watching the torrential downpour over the courtyard; the water fountain overfilled. ☺️ ⛲

Now that two of her football fanatic siblings are no longer, Enya feels less inclined to watch the World Cup. She might put it on in the background anyway. ☺️

Actually Enya is quite liking the opening ceremony in Mexico :disco: 🇲🇽🪶 (bits of the music anyway) 🎶🪄

Enya has been talking to Roma's siblings in Belfast, who sadly report of violence in recent days being as bad as The Troubles :(

Enya is amused at but honoured by this Google 'people also ask' query :D

And would probably agree on those top 2-3 (might add 'S Fagaim Mo Bhaile, Exile, A Moment Lost)

Enya is mildly intrigued by the news that she'll be in a new radio documentary next week, and it's basically about having creative control in the studio.
:enya:
The best 'new' content from that might be a few old interviews of hers with better sound quality, but it'll be a good listen nonetheless. 😊

Enya would be glad to be asked by media outlets about sharing a bit more Frog Prince-era studio work (interview footage/recordings, the premiere, etc..). 🤗🐸👑

Enya rewatched this Clannad documentary now it's on YouTube, and loves how her sister Deirdre was in the corner, sipping water  🥛as Moya was busy being interviewed. ☺️

Edit: amongst other great moments with Enya photos/commentary about her/footage! 🌟
Segments at 7:49, and 24:42.

It’s amazing how Enya completely ignores any documentaries about Clannad as a matter of principle. I wish she was there...in all those documentaries...

Enya definitely does so (avoids appearing live/speaking in the Clannad documentaries) for a reason, yes. 😌

Also the Clannad brothers do seem a bit sexist when it comes to creating music (performing as singers or backing not too fussed though. :D)
Interesting to hear them chatting about her (in the 90s I think) and Ciarán being like 'fair play/fair dues to her' obviously seeing her major success since, worldwide. ⛵🎶

Enya is still thinking about how she has not only been photographed (almost 45 years ago) wearing dungarees/overalls, but also performing outdoors in them.

(Without the neckerchief though. Wish I was as fashionable as En at 20...!)
A quick screen recording:

Also how the event (first picture at Castlebar; video at Lisdoonvarna folk festival?) was aptly named 'Occasion at the Castle'.

I just realized that she performed in this overalls !👖☺️

I still don't know if Enya can drive a car/say where the road goes 🛣️
She wanted to get her licence in 1989, but her chauffeur and taxi service was that reliable for about 40 years that there was almost no point. :D

Regarding PinkPantheress/Vicky, Enya wishes her 24-year-old self had that level of marketing prowess. :disco:
Enya has recently watched the lyric videos (from a year ago :D) and would definitely like to borrow some of the graphic designers (or at least the art style).

(These to me seem similar; PP's lyric video to Nice To Know, 2025, and this ADWR poster in 2020 🤩)
✨️

^Also Sugababes - Spiral(ling) (William Orbit remix being the sample :disco:

I suppose this guy was commisioned through this site? https://creative-commission.com/project/enya/artwork/jmoy

Enya might be listening to RTÉ 2FM in a bit to learn what Mariah did differently at the beginning of her career. (I think Enya's episode, assuming it's split between the days, will be on Wednesday?) 😊

Enya thinks Hero should've been in the 1992 film of the same name. Luther Vandross' song was great too, but yeah. It's a bit like how two of Enya's songs for The Frog Prince weren't even in the film. Meant for greater things 🎼🌠

Enya thinks Ronni Ancona's impressions are kind of hit-and-miss, but she's a good actress; one of the most interesting guests on This Morning for a long time. 😊
(She's the one who did the 'gangsta rap' Enya impersonation in 1998 :D)

Now I urgently need to know the text of that letter!👀🍿😅
I wish I'd seen it/remembered 😅

(The text below is AI and fictional) let's say the quotes here are Enya's:

BREAKING: Choirboy's Seaside Mishap Reveals "Message in a Bottle" Said to Contain Fiery Letter from Enya to Prince Andrew

DINGLE BAY, IRELAND — Residents of a normally tranquil stretch of coastline were left stunned yesterday after a ten-year-old choirboy known only by the alias "Adam" accidentally smashed an antique-looking bottle that had washed ashore.

The bottle, reportedly encrusted with barnacles and sealed with wax, was discovered during a church outing. Witnesses say Adam, attempting to show it to friends, dropped it onto a rock, causing it to shatter dramatically and reveal a handwritten letter allegedly penned by the singer Enya and addressed to Prince Andrew.

The authenticity of the document remains entirely unverified, but that has done little to slow speculation.

"It looked like something from a pirate film," said one local resident. "Then suddenly there were pages flying everywhere and half the village was chasing them down the beach."

According to onlookers, the letter contained a surprisingly sharp critique of the Prince's public controversies and reputation.

Among the alleged excerpts:

"I have spent years writing songs about journeys, oceans, and distant horizons. Yet somehow, every headline concerning you seems determined to sail in the opposite direction."
Another passage reportedly read:

"The sea is vast, but not vast enough to carry away public memory. One cannot simply drift beyond the reach of questions."
Perhaps the most quoted section stated:

"If dignity were a lighthouse, it would be wise to steer toward it rather than continually testing the rocks."
The discovery immediately became the subject of intense debate among locals, with amateur historians, conspiracy enthusiasts, and several bewildered tourists gathering near the site.

Adam, who is said in this entirely fictional account to be Enya's nephew, appeared mortified by the attention.

"I only wanted to see what was inside," the young choirboy reportedly told reporters before being escorted away by relatives. "I didn't know it would become national news."

Social media users quickly dubbed the incident "Bottle-Gate," while several television pundits spent hours discussing whether a celebrity would genuinely choose a drifting bottle as a means of communication.

One commentator noted, "It's either the least efficient postal service ever conceived or the most dramatic."

Maritime experts were equally sceptical.

"Messages in bottles do occasionally travel extraordinary distances," said one oceanographer. "But finding one containing celebrity correspondence and political commentary would be extraordinarily unlikely."

Despite the doubts, souvenir hunters reportedly descended on the beach in search of remaining glass fragments, while local shops began selling commemorative postcards featuring illustrations of a shattered bottle against a stormy sea.

As evening fell, authorities closed off the area, citing safety concerns and an increasing number of visitors attempting to launch their own messages into the water.

Whether the letter was genuine, a hoax, or simply an elaborate prank remains unknown.

One thing, however, is certain: in a village where the biggest recent news had been a missing sheep, the sudden appearance—and destruction—of a mysterious bottle ensured that nobody was talking about anything else.

Since moving to Dublin, I wonder if Enya has become rather prone to hayfever? 🤧 Especially grass pollen. 😅 🌾

She'd probably prefer Nya to Anya :D
Then again one of her friends' daughters is named Nia so that could be confusing 😅

Enya sometimes goes by variations of her middle name, Pádraigín: Patricia, maybe Trish or Tricia/Trisha (not Pat nor Patty/Paddy 😅)

That'd be funny, especially with her style of music. 😅 There are a few named Patti (e.g. singer Patti Smith, she's a Patricia) but even that would be odd for Enya.

Enya has been planted in the Eden Project.

Bumbleebees feed on her dripping nectar.

Enya happily exists in the gardening/agricultural world as a grain (oat) 🌾
Haha there's another recent article
View attachment 39963

Enya will be releasing a remastered version of A Day Without Rain, with a limited edition bag of Enya oats. 🎶🌾

and I just found out, there's also a lettuce variety. :D 🥬

Need the flowers though 🌹 🪻

Enya is a little embarrassed after being reminded of when she met Chris de Burgh (he headlined that 1981 Lisdoonvarna festival) and a 1975 song of his called Patricia The Stripper. 😅

In all honesty the name Patricia sounds old. 😅 Pádraigín (pronounced 'paw-ri-geen' or 'pah-dra-geen'?) is cooler.

Enya is glad to hear the news about Saltwater going platinum; dear Moya's voice lives on. 😌🎶🌊

However, platinum status for Caribbean Blue is long overdue. :enya: 🩵

Enya would've been open to doing vocals on Poker Face (if Lady Gaga had done some kind of collaboration album like Charli XCX and Pinkpantheress did) for The Fame. ✨
