Slept in until 11:30, got some gardening tools for fathers day then had a line of ket. The duality of ron.
it's fete de la musique here in Paris (where are you going today @Dark Carnival love?) and I may also treat myself to a DABBLE OF K when I take to the streets :disco:

I was out late last night so I’m a bit TIRED today. Miss DC is dragging us first to the cinema, then I might be around bassin de la Villette where a friend will have a dj mixing outside his restaurant. Where are you heading, love?

Went for a Fathers Day BRUNCH and made the mistake of wearing JEANS 🥵

I've had all of this part of the month organised for me, but I've checked the whatsapp group - we're in (or near to) Salcombe apparently.

Hurtling through London as we speak.
Salcombe is absolutely beautiful to visit due to its setting, but to be honest I'd rather not stay there - it's full of London money and so much tourism that is doesn't feel (and isn't) at all authentic.

If you're elsewhere on the Kingsbridge estuary or slightly further along the coast (east or west) it's all just as lovely.

There's a circular South Hams walk I've done parts of which takes in the coast and parts of Dartmoor.

Thankfully we have some chorizo based meals incoming, which is also Spanish themed and we know we like it. It makes everything tasty.

Going for a cycle soon. Was asked to go to a friend's BBQ, but I'm trying to kick-start a cut and don't really like being trapped at someone's and having to eat their food. What a cracking day though.

Still don't regret turning down Edinburgh Pride though as it wasn't quite as nice as this and apparently some now-arrested mad man was about in an area I would have been based at.

Oh the sauna though. Maybe next month when/if I feel less fluffy. I had the Jesse Ware song on last night, it's a sign.

Are you in a field again? What is it you do exactly? Erect tents?
I am/was a consultant doing marketing but I now run a magazine/media business (about drugs obvs) which takes up most of my time. We’re doing something quite exciting but challenging with the brand which is taking up a lot of my time/energy to get over the line.

I dont do much marketing any more, its more a fallback when I’m reinvesting revenue from the business. It bores me now but magazines arent an easy thing to pay the rent from.

The festival stuff was just something I was doing for fun and to help Ms Ron out although I did get paid for my time and I cant wait to do it again next year.

According to the map we're a bit outside the town near somewhere called Overbecks?

I've done so much walking this month but I am quite excited for the walks (broken up by drinks).
I don't know Overbecks, but I do know South Sands beach which you're close to. Beautiful shallow beach for swimming. I believe my dad taught my sister to swim at that beach. Despite being 5 years older than her, he didn't manage it with me :D

If I stick that into ChatGTP it can probably jigsaw identify your banking details.

I can't be bothered with HOT WEATHER again

My neighbours have just ERECTED some NEW MONSTROSITY in their garden. Couldn't think what it could be, but then worked out it's a TRAMPOLENE. Can't hear them BOUNCING fortunately even though it is MERE FEET from my PARLOUR. Also KEEP THAT YAPPING SHITBAG quiet. And the dog too. LOVE YOU x

@big ron, you were talking about gooseberries on your allotment the other day, weren't you?

I've just seen a food writer I follow on instagram who preserved some in honey (pricking them a few times first), leaving them at room temp for about a week, then serving them with soft cheese on a toasted baguette.

and what of Mr S's thoughts on the new garden furniture?

… although I went into town intending to bum and then for some reason decided i’d rather go home and make mash potato to go with a pie - in this weather. I wonder if this kind of thinking is a side effect of Statins I was unaware of.
