Monday resigns as Prime Minister to take up exciting new career as an exotic dancer

Bit odd to close at 1pm though. Sure let’s force a load of kids and parents outside at the hottest part of the day!

It's just hard when you're one of the few that don't work from home. 3 x half days = lost wages :( Apparently there will be some provision for kids to stay till 3pm they're saying now.

Just had a cool shower that was as nice as I imagine smack to be

today has been the first really unbearable day. my hair is so dry and voluminous like Monica in the Caribbean episodes of Friends.

Paris is the worst city in the heat. Not to be dramatic but I genuinely think 40 degrees here is the most uncomfortable it’s possible to be on this earth.

good luck sleeping! i woke up this morning with a sweat drenched pillow

I've just come back from a meal out to celebrate the 80th birthday of my English teacher from when I was 11 to 13.

Aren't you getting any of the heat in Donegal? Even the west coast is going to get proper summer temperatures this week, and it's been a washout until recently!

I’m at my house in Scotland at the moment darling. The best it’s meant to get here is 24 today, and 22 tomorrow which is perfectly LOVELY. I couldn’t think of anything WORSE than 40 degrees heat stuck in London or Paris. The air quality in these places is PITIFUL anyway so I actually think I would prefer to be in HELL. :zombie:

Genuinely think some of the thunder cracks last night were the loudest I've heard IN MY LIFE. They even woke poor Mini Tisch who drowsily told me he thought there'd been a "crane plash" 🥲

So I haven't slept :sugar: it's not even the thunder so much but just done incessant DRIPPING we always get when it rains and I absolutely can't place. I've concluded it's coming from the neighbour's house somehow. It almost feels like it's sitting something above me.
