It’s a case of being a legend in the field but also being a complete monster apparently.
 
Oh I didn't know about his "darker side". I mostly know him through his connection to Aretha.
 
Definitely one of the biggest music producers of all time. Dont know much about his personal past but it would be consistent with pretty much every record producer from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
 
Loved his iconic dragging of Jewel when she went pop:

He did help produce some amazing albums. You always knew an album would be quality when his name was attached to it. RIP.
 
She was clearly toxic but knew how to get divas their bops and bangers. Rest in... something.
 
my favourite Clive Davis anecdote is that he freaked out when Kelly Clarkson delivered My December and tried to pay her €5m to record Black Hole, the bop that ultimately made it onto Lindsay Lohan's second album (how about something a little more... personal?) :disco:

It had already been released by Lindsay by that point. He wanted her to cover it!
 
I adore Black Hole but that was some crazy old man bullshit from CD. anyway Lindsay got the last laugh when it was number one for 7 wee—
