Katy Perry - Watch it Burn

I'm pretty sure her fucking off for a while might be a prerequisite for any potential future success. I don't think the public or listeners have much patience or appetite for her right now.

I honestly don't think the casual public really thinks about her that much. They just notice her popping up here and there, they like a lot of what she's done in the past, and if she does something they like again that stands out they'll probably be happy to stream/listen to it. It's just that everything she's done for a while has been quite faceless and unremarkable.

Everything you do is corny, Katherine. People are not only tired of you choosing to collaborate with him despite backlash, but they're tired of your ass always playing the victim.

Also, when your songs list 5-6 people as co-writers, don't say, "I write these from my heart." It's ok to acknowledge some were Ava Max/Bonnie McKee-rejected demos.

the release of this is well timed to coincide with the actual heat death of Europe. I smell a hit!

I’m not ever going to be able to move past the fact that when she was in space she started singing What a Wonderful World

She's really in her horror movie era it seems.

Song is... fine? I can't see it turning anything around for her, it's just another shouty Katy Perry song.

Yeah, I really don't see why some are saying, "Oh wow, she's SO back!" It's really not that much different to, or better than, Bandaids.

I like this but it's just missing something. bandaids was the better song.

It's the kind of thing she could have got away with as a fifth single back in the One of the Boys / Teenage Dream eras, but it just isn't cutting it anymore.

I don't think there's a song strong enough that could dig her out of the flop zone stigma/zeitgeist in her main audience of local gays and school disco DJs/school children (many of which now weren't even born when she last had a US billboard number 1).

I don't think that's true. A song that is to Katy like Abracadabra is to Gaga and she'd be fine.

But that requires LOVE AND PASSION FOR THE CRAFT and it seems that's not coming back any time soon. She only has love and passion for Trudeu
