I would fucking love a Naominaissance. I do feel her game can still improve but she's probably at least as good a player now as she was when she won her slams. the field is just so much stronger.

OMG :disco:

(I hate when anyone wears sliders in public but Fran can do whatever he likes to me)

Is anyone watching the Rafa documentary on Netflix - its 4 parts I think - just watched episode 1 and it seems pretty good.

Oh Rafa gives me NOTHING. My mate is imploring me to watch it but I have zero interest. No hate like with Sinner or Djokovic, just relentless APATHY

unsure if this is an unpopular opinion but as a PERSONALITÉ i find Rafa utterly boring and that documentary does not appeal
Oh no I am with you - I could care less about him during his career - but I do love a good sports doc - and I have to say it's extremely watchable - the guy was basically a physical wreck from the get go and it's hard not to feel for him watching it - not least the fact he;'s going to have to live with that wreckage for the rest of his life. So, as someone who was like - meh - I am really enjoying it. So I would recommend people do give it a go!

Fuck sake for Draper, can't catch a break can he. Short of getting Novak or Jannik, I feel like that's the trickiest start he could've been dealt.

Medvedev v Cilic, Daniil could be looking at another first round Slam exit.

Fingers crossed for a Berrettini v Fils second round 🥵

Jack's draw is particularly harsh especially if he reaches the Eastbourne final AND is scheduled for Monday to play Fritz.

Draper really fizzled out to lose his Eastbourne SF to Humbert today (7-5 6-3). he didn't break serve once. I'd be worried for him at Wimbledon on this evidence

Good draw for your girl J-PEG though. Decent first 4 rounds, Gauff or Bencic in QF is tough but achievable, & possible Sabs in SF has choked at that stage before.

fun stat - Jpeg has never even played a seeded player at Wimbledon. combo of the draw and not making deep runs I guess? but I agree, she's winning the whole thing. :disco:

I realized Steffi Graf was the inspiration for Madonna’s hair during the Confessions I era.

well some of the comments under that are a trip

blaming Steffi for the stabbing of Monica (or "Little Mo" as he calls her) is severely unhinged behaviour

Some of Graf’s (and Management aka dad Peter Graf) actions following Seles’ stabbing were far from ideal but “she might as well [have done] it herself” is, indeed, wild.

Muchova wins Bad Homburg with Osaka retiring at 1-6 0-1 citing a foot injury. hope it's not too serious and she'll be able to play Wimbledon...

WTF? There’s a conspiracy theory for everything.
Run out of toilet roll? Seem to have less orange smarties in the packet than normal? Someone punched you in the face because you are 'a pain in the arse' - it's not you IT'S THEM. THE THEM THAT DONE DOES RULE THE THINGS OH YES.
