It's the fact that they're 86 is what’s surprising. A constant presence in our lives, we don't see them as elderly geriatrics, we think of them in their prime.

I literally cannot understand why they would change actual programming in this day and age for a ‘tribute’. Aren’t all the episodes on BBC IPlayer anyway? Just put them to the front page and be done with it.

Anyway, yes very sad - love her - she was wonderful in plays even more than her sitcoms. Her Noel Cowards are astonishingly good.
