Madonna - Confessions II OUT NOW

I'm on Apple Music and they aren't the continuous mix versions for me.

Did you previously download them to your device? If so, remove the downloads, delete the album from your library and then add it again.

Or else maybe it only happened in certain territories?

I remain NONPLUSSED that so many physical copies of the album are out there and it STILL hasn't leaked.

I guess it really is proof that the vast majority of people don't have CD players or don't have disc drives anymore to rip them to their laptops etc.

Strange! I’m using Apple Music and they’re now the continuous mixes. Not only that, they all sound clearer to my ears. BYL is a slightly different mix too. A bit bouncier and punchier, with tiny production elements that weren’t there before.
Ooh I’ll check Apple Music now. I was on spotify ..

What’s with the snotty “Of course”? I always download music on Apple Music to my local device in case I’m out of coverage. It’s not a weird thing to do.
It was a joke alluding to not liking the music enough to download it, not a judgement on your music consumption practices.

I don't know if it's any different (I use Qobuz not spotify) but Bring Your Love is officially upgraded to a 9. the production is great.

still sends me that M's "distract me with numbers" bit is processed to sound like she recorded it on a potato from her bathroom.

I mean let's face it
Is there any other way to say I always pay the price other than

UUGGHGHGHHHH I always pay the price ---
And now I
Don't wanna
Don't wanna-

I know One Step Away is likely to surpass, but at present LOVE SENSATION is quite possibly the best thing of the year for me, I can't get enough :disco:

Read My Lips doesn't sound anything like a football FIFA anthem. Weird. Anyway its not bad just a shame if she's going to waste her 4 minutes of the segment she has to share with the two other sole artists with THAT. Reminds me of when she did Future at Eurovision. Hopefully we will get 3 mins of classic/other confessions 2.

So my friend was sold a copy of the deluxe CD an hour ago and I'm currently talking him through how to rip it, which he has just managed to do!

Well it's a LOT. I've still not listened to the whole thing. Some initial thoughts:

The tracks being quite long(especially by today's standards) is wonderful. The songs really get their chance to breathe. Early on I was struck at how some of them sounded like extended mixes.

Everything and School are more dance than I think she's ever been, at least outside of remixes. School especially is very quirky and dark-ish.

My Sins Are My Saviour is an instant highlight for me. It has a sort of 90s Eastern vibe. Like Enigma crossed with 90s Madge. Betrayal has this eastern jazzy vibe too. Reminds me a bit of Older-era George Michael.

God I am useless at describing songs, especially in the midst of this FRENZY.

Ask any questions about any of the songs and I'll answer them!

any thoughts on Fragile?
It's lovely. Kinda gentle, hypnotic, trip-hop vibes, like a Solange track. It reminds me of the Life of Pi soundtrack. A few lyrical references to Little Star. It's another in that section of songs that I don't think really sounds like anything she's ever done before really. Or not leaned into so much.

L.E.S. Girl is utterly, utterly gorgeous. Gentle guitar and chimes. Reminds me like something that could've been on Ray of Light or that musical she was working on with Pat Leonard.

It's not even remotely dance in any way. The album really moves from out and out dance pop to a much more indie vibe by the end.

does Bizarre stick out being EDM-ish? any hot transitions?
It didn't really stick out for me. It's like this album's Sorry. Read My Lips is more jarring than Bizarre, but even that's fine.

I really think Bizarre could be a hit BUT I haven't a clue what constitutes a hit in 2026. It's incredibly catchy and just a classic dance pop song in structure. Reeeally nice vocals on it too. They sound very natural and like her vocals from 20 years ago. There's a gorgeous part towards the end where she sings in a higher pitch.

Everything sounds better to me on Qobuz, no comparison to Spotify
