Great songs by artists past their commercial peak

Moya's solo career of course (Clannad were bigger before) and her late 90s tracks 🤩

🥲💭

I think this was later than Tanita Tikaram's commercial peak (the first two albums)?

:disco: 🎶
Also LIAR is really good, and I think this would be commercially popular even thought it's way later than her first album:

(The rhythm reminds me of some 2000s song, forgot the name)

We actually lasted longer than I'd have thought before someone made a factually incorrect choice (Saltwater the platinum top 10 hit?! Enya who remains permanently atop the New Age sharts?)

I feel like Never Really Over is basically a cover so shouldn't count but at least its not DAISIES DAISIES DAISIES or Dr Luke

Of course!

KT has had some great late career peaks. Usually her folky ones for me. Obsessed with these

As mentioned elsewhere, this is probably in my Top 50 songs of all time.

Out of the many thousands of attempts to recreate the magic of 70s Fleetwood Mac, nobody has nailed it as beautifully as this.

Now at the risk of Moopy sacrilege

When did Annie have a commercial peak? :(

Debatable. It was an underperforming single from a UK #1 album, and Lotus actually did okay considering the circumstances. Was she really past her commercial peak at that point?
She was obviously never going to do Christina Aguilera, Stripped, or Back to Basics numbers again, but I don't think she'd fully entered her post peak era yet. If we were talking about something from 2015 onward, then I'd definitely agree :eyes: Calling @Loufoque to back me up :disco:
