OMG. :o What an album!

9.5/10 (let down by Sabrina and Everything which I found a bit subpar compared to everything else)

No other notes. I got a little teary listening to it - it felt like she was taking me by the hand on a personal tour of her dancefloor beginnings and later through a confessional of all her recent trauma.

Superb.

I'm mincing off to HMV now to get some copies the old school way, even though I have about 12 different versions ordered online. I just want to WITNESS it on the shelves too!

I'm definitely calling it her best since MUSIC and possibly beyond. it's very difficult to compare.

It’s better than Music for me
I just need to decide whether in the long run I will prefer it to the original Confessions - probably not but still, the fact that she pulled an album of this quality off at about 40+ years into her career is astonishing and rare for any artist.
 
I do think this destroys COADF which is not an album I can listen to all the way through. obviously it doesn't have a Hung Up moment but the album just has so much more to say and goes to so many more interesting places than COADF, which gets a bit dull after Jump.

I was thinking Godfather Part II to continue the Italian theme but yah

To go back again to what VoR said and later Sheena I do agree that it probably could’ve had a better / more artistic title that reflected the content more accurately than Confessions II but in many ways I can’t see how she could’ve titled it anything else either.

I like the callback of the title. I genuinely don't think it's a cynical choice - it just makes sense in my eyes

I love the title too but I think Love Without Words and Danceteria would both have made cunty titles too. the title only works because the album is so good and NOT actually a sequel.
