I spent the day in London on Friday and didn't use a single underground train. It felt good.

when I'm in London I always spend a (relative) fortune using ebikes because I love to stay ABOVE GROUND where possible. I didn't feel like I really knew the city well til I started biking everywhere.

We used DLR, Uber and went on a boat.

I had no concept of how far Greenwich was from Southbank on the Thames and how many desirable houses there were in-between.

I was in London for over 2 weeks in June and there during the entire heatwave and honestly, the meticulous strategy that we undertake to plan journeys that include lines with aircon is something else. Someone should build an alternative tube map just for a heatwaves

I am happy to say that with the refurbishment of the overground, the Elizabeth line and the new District/Circle/Met line trains, there’s a lot more choice now.
