Bonnie Tyler DEAD

:(

Oh Bonnie. It's easily said but hard to imagine anybody else being able to give her signature hits the same kind of welly. A truly one of a kind voice.

Spinning the magnificently ludicrous If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man) in tribute. Fuck you, Bon Jovi.

Very sad, an icon. One of those artists you just expected to always 'be there' :(

Total Eclipse is so deeply iconic on many many levels.

Always been partial to "It's A Heartache"

Total Eclipse is being used right now in the Off West End production of Relics, playing over a comedy acted in slo-motion fight on stage. I even heard it this morning just for a funny bit of online content. Just crazy how her handful of proper hits are so iconic.

A unique voice and her 2 big hits ought to have qualified her to have had more of similar stature.

It would be nice if some of the songs she recorded first would now get a spike of interest.

I am quite surprised she hasn’t really had an iTunes surge yet? I have only spotted Total Eclipse of the Heart at #169. Usually when legends die they have all the big hits in the top 20 pretty quickly?

Oh, it wasn’t that when I posted. I am over the moon that she is up where she should be now though.

Oh Bonnie Tyler that Bonnie Tyler this. But has she been eaten by Wild Boars? No. So what has she got that Ellie Goulding hasn’t other than proper hits and talent, hmm?

Not having a clue what that post meant meant I googled "Bonnie Tyler wild boar" and discovered Razorback (1984), a wild boar horror film directed by Bonnie's Total Eclipse director. Oh It's on my list.

RIP lovely lady

It’s a Heartache is one of my earliest musical memories

Oh nooo! RIP Queen!

Say what you want about her but she gave the gays everything.

I had totally exactly forgotten HOW CAMP the Total Eclipse video was.
Hold everything, I'd forgotten how camp the Holding Out For A Hero was too.

I had not forgotten how camp the song was. Obviously, I am a homosexual.

She was just young and quite cute in her 70s stuff. Not quite million dollars 80s campery.

Why didn't I know If You Were A Woman and why wasn't it an international number 1.

Fuck Bon Jovi. Ankie Bagger is fine of course.

Jim Steinman had a LOT to answer for and THANK THE LORD for that

I think "If You Were A Woman and I Was A Man" is my new (old) hot summer jam.

Bonnie said trans rights back in 1986.
