I actually would suggest that rather than any more tinkering, we instead accept the charts don't serve a purpose any more and RETIRE them. If it's no longer a useful promotional tool, then it's just a financial overhead. And maybe without the charts, Taylor Swift will ease off the cynically timed remixes and special editions, and the world will be a better place.
